Approved but still under Administrative Processing

Hi,

 

My wife had her interview July 1st she was approved. She was told that she should be able to pick up her passport within 7 - 10 days (she will get a text message when the passport is ready).

below is the statuses and updates we got:
Status Ready - Last Updated July 5
Administrative Processing - Last Updated July 7

 

How long should we wait before contacting the embassy requesting an update on her Status? How long does it usually take for status to be changed to Issued?

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone can answer this question.  AP will take as long as it takes, sometimes just a day or two, sometimes a week or two, and sometimes up to a year.  I see from past posts your wife interviewed at the consulate in Beirut, so it might be a bit.

Also keep in mind that actual approval is when you see “Issued” as a status.

it could change at any time now.

We got the Passport with the visa today!

 

The weird part is that the status on the CEAC is still showing as "Administrative Processing". 😅😂

 

Anyway this long journey has finally ended 😀

So how did you know it was ready?  Did you get a text message or email from the usdocs website ?  We are still waiting. It’s been one week since thé interview.

We got a text message to pickup the passport

I think it depends on each country

For Morocco, you will also get text messages when your passport is ready to be picked-up.

Thanks for the link. That’s the one I’ve been checking along with the ceac website.  
 

 For Morocco how long did you have to wait from the interview to get the text message that your passport was ready for pickup?  There was a holiday here recently so I’m not counting two business days.

We are not done with the process yet as they asked us for additional documents and we are still waiting for an update

We submitted the documents (and more) and they received them on 23-May. No update since then
