I didn't know that's how that worked.

We have almost identical timelines so I'm excited! Probably for no reason though.

From my understanding if you submit a K-129F (K3) they group it together with your I-130 and send it to a different service center. I originally started in Texas Service Center, but never checked with Emma to see if it moved or not, so not sure. Some people say it takes the same time, others say it's quicker. Since I didn't send it at the same time I can't really make a judgement because 6 months wait for Approval isn't out of the ordinary for some.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you as well. Good Luck!

Good Morning Everyone,

Below is my timeline to NOA2.

Submitted: April 18, 2022 Online

NOA1:  April 18, 2022 (Online Filing)

I-129F (K3) - Mailed in July 29, 2022, USCIS Received August 01, 2022

NOA2: October 13, 2022, Received Approval Notice via Documents Section

At the moment my case status is still set to being Actively Reviewed by USCIS but under my Documents Section there is already a Approval Letter. I will reach out to ask Emma to make sure. Will update with further information.

I asked Emma through Live Chat to see whether my petition was accepted or not because the status was still "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" and they stated that it was Approved.

I think our dates are pretty similar for the i130 and the k3 and I was just approved so maybe keep an eye out and good luck!

I'm so happy for you!

Did you ever get a notice for 129f being in active review? Mine still says (case received).

Ours said that but the NOA2 sent by mail said they approved the I-130 and will deny the I-129F. However, they never updated the I-129F case online status. It doesn’t really matter.

NOA1: 04/04/2022 (Texas SC)

K3 received: 04/26/2022 (Vermont SC)

NOA2: 09/23/2022 (Vermont SC)

Thanks for the info!

Here's hoping I hear back soon and we all have a speedy time at NVC.

Hoping that for you! Get your paperwork ready ahead of time. :) Have everything ready except police certificates.

I need to go back and review what all is required. I've tried my best to avoid thinking about it for so long that I forgot!

Thanks for the advice!

Oh, you get the NOA2, and next thing you know is you’ve wasted 3 weeks that could have been part of your NVC processing time. Good luck!

Based on what I see. I'll need

2 i-864's (one for me and one for the joint sponsor)

Tax records for both me and joint sponsor.

And that's it I guess for now!

Am I missing anything in particular? I'll prep those forms today.

Am I missing anything in particular? I'll prep those forms today.

1. Is the joint sponsor married? If yes, do they file taxes “married filing jointly” ? If yes, their spouse needs to fill an I-864A.

2. Tax transcript 2021 for you. Joint sponsor’s tax transcript 2021 (preferably last 3 years).

3. Your 2021 W2/1099 if present. We wrote a letter explaining we don’t have either because there’s been a trend of the NVC issuing RFEs for them.

Your joint sponsor’s W2s/1099s. People here will tell you you don’t need the W2 but if you don’t submit it and they request it, you’re tossing 2-3 months down the drain.

4. Proof of domicile for you and your joint sponsor (lease, driving license, voters ID).

5. Beneficiary: birth certificate and certified translation of it, 2x2 photo, biographic data page of passport, marriage certificate + certified translation.

Advice: let the beneficiary start figuring out how long the police certificates take to be ready and what documents are needed to apply for them. However, don’t order them just yet.
