Wohooooooo, thanks to all members of this great community for the knowledge during my USCIS stage!!!

Our petition got approved on May 12th and luckily, my wife was with me when the notice came in. After two days, an email came from NVC with the invoice number and we were able to log in.

As much as we are both excited, we are still trying to grasp the details of the process in front of us. I have few questions and i would be delighted for any help

1. How do we side load the NVC stage? We front loaded the USCIS stage and there was no RFE. What are the things(documents) for a great side loading?

2. What are the documents we'll need to get ready as we are looking to jump right into the queue (NVC)

3.  Can the NVC payment be done by one person, from either of the different countries we reside at the moment?

4. Do we need to submit just Tax transcripts or coupled with W2's.. since there has been some experiences from users here having RFE submitting one of those without the other

5. What are the precautions you will advice when going through this process as to avoid going back to the back of the line after submission.

Thanks.

Start by studying the instructions linked to in the email.

What to side load depends on your circumstances and what you've already front loaded.

Payments can be from anybody anywhere.

Tax RETURN transcripts don't need W2 forms but it won't hurt to submit them too.

We side-loaded a PDF file at the NVC stage as an "additional document" via CEAC.  The compressed PDF (to meet NVC document size guidelines), was additional, new evidence of our bona fide marriage relationship, since filing the I-130 (we also front-loaded lots of evidence).  The new evidence included documents to show additional time spent together (original boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel receipts, a few photos from each trip), and some new financial co-mingling evidence gathered in the year since filing the I-130.  Read and study the NVC/CEAC guidelines regarding scanning and uploading documents very carefully before clicking "submit," as others who made mistakes have had to re-submit documents, adding weeks or even months to the NVC stage of the process.  After NVC sends the email that you are DQ'd (documentarily qualified), then you wait for an interview day and time to be set up.  The wait time for an interview depends on the current backlog at the embassy/consulate abroad.  Good luck!

I learnt social media handles are often asked on the Immigration DS260 forms. I do not use the social media due to personal reasons(safety). Do you think this is usually considered a big deal and might lead to extensive administrative processing when the time comes? Is it considered suspecting with an applicant not having a social media?

Thanks

Thanks. please what was the average numbers of pictures you added to yours? Did you put a word descriptions on the pictures and documents? We did that during USCIS, don't know if that's allowed at NVC. Thanks

I have no direct answer to how not having social media will be considered.  All I know is that you tell the truth, as I definitely know how the consider not telling the truth.

I only had my tax filing documents with my tax software and unfortunately did not obtain tax transcripts. I received RFE for W2s, that I then asked from employers. It is not particularly easy to get tax transcripts, but they should be equal to W2-- stating your income for last 2-3 years. My W2s were accepted and we were DQ'ed. That is high cause of RFEs (adding 70-90 days before review and DQ).

You get a Tax Return Transcript from the IRS,  you do have to go thru the hoops of signing up thru id.me for the auth,  but after that pretty easy.   Note if you file jointly, you need to include you W2 + any 1099's or other documents which show your income.

After reading the NVC requirements thoroughly, i realised NVC only ask for Tax transcript from the recent tax year. Having read through threads here, i have seen people uploading transcripts for the last three tax years. This is confusing, please can you shed more light on this Sir?

The NVC website only ask for tax transcript or tax returns + W2's from the recent tax year. What's the logic behind having tax documents for the last three years? I just want to make sure i get this correctly

This is a line from the official Email sent by NVC

"We routinely reject cases that do not submit documents such as:
                a. Tax transcripts/tax returns,
                b. W-2/1099s, and/or;
                c. Proof of income.
Failure to submit these documents will delay your case. Review the chart on https://nvc.state.gov/fin and determine which supporting documents you will need to submit."

Does this mean we are to submit Either of a and then b?

When i used the NVC financial tools to check, it says we need to submit just IRS transcripts.  I want to avoid RFE ,please can you help shed light from experience

Information from three tax returns is required for the affidavit of support.  Sending more than one actual Tax Return Transcript is optional.  Do it only if you think it will help your case.  People with stable jobs and income do not benefit from providing more than the information required.  Time to become an A-Student of both the I-864 and it's excellent instructions.
