My husband is a teacher in Nigeria and has a bachelors in Economics. Will the USA  take his degree and teaching experience.

The US is not a single kingdom.  Each of the 50 states has its own laws and requirements for professionals.

It's possible, but there are steps he must take to become certified, and some of those steps can be taken now before arriving.  Check out this useful link as a good place to start:

If he is planning on becoming a teacher in Texas here is a link he might find helpful.

He can have his credentials evaluated through one of these services.

https://tea.texas.gov/texas-educators/certification/out-of-state-certification/foreign-credential-evaluation-services

Here are application steps for becoming certified in Texas.

https://tea.texas.gov/texas-educators/certification/out-of-state-certification/certification-based-on-credentials-from-another-country

If he is going to move to another state google "teaching certificate STATE NAME" each state has all the steps you need to take to have your degree and teaching certificate recognized in that specific state.

The first step always though is to get your credentials evaluated by a service recognized by that state.  He can complete the first step while he is still in Nigeria.
