Fingers crossed! I hope you have a date with them soon! I posted in another thread about our experience with Sen. Markey's office. I hope once our case makes it to Boston, it will start moving for us as well.

Yup, identical here. I think all options have been exhausted (almost 18 months for me). I was planning to sue them (have been out of the country which made it difficult to serve my mandamus, but I will be doing that upon coming back). Anyone interested in joining in on a class action to get out individual results while also making the system a bit more responsible to those who will come after us?

I called the contact center and was told that the N400 was blocked by the I751 and was told that I751s now take 3-4 years to process and that there's nothing to do. Now I need to figure out if I should sue for I751 to unblock N400 or just wait until next year and sue for the N400.

Why not sue for both?

I could, but it'd also be nice to file suit against the I751 and have this unblock the N400. But if it doesn't (ie the N400 would continue to languish), then it may make sense to just wait a bit longer and sue for the N400 itself, which forces adjudication of the I751.

How is i751 blocking n400 when I see lots of ppl saying online, almost daily, that they received a combination interview.

Another note is that processing times just greatly decreased for I751 forms and I was able to file a case inquiry. I'm hoping that means USCIS itself will be able to finally adjudicate the forms instead of requiring litigation.

Ditto! We also just submitted case inquiry for I-751. Hopefully some update soon!

Hi! We took our sweet time to apply (life took over...) but the good news is my wife applied in August, had biometrics in September, and has an interview scheduled for December. What I'm struggling to find an answer for is that she's being requested to provide proof of Selective Service registration. She entered the US at age 32, which seems to be after the age limit anyway. Does anyone know what exactly to provide for this request? I've come across this letter  (https://www.sss.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Applicants-over-31-years-of-Age-USCIS-Policy-1.pdf) on a few different sites, but I'm not sure if this is sufficient. And, obviously, the letter and the SSS website refer to males needing to register, which is also why I don't understand why my wife needs to provide any proof here.

 

Anyone with advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, you are replying to the wrong thread. This is for people who applied in May 2022, not August 2023. To answer your question, only men are required to register for selective service, so your wife should not have to provide proof of registration.
