  1. May 23, 2021 I-751 Potomac. Last update was 10/13/2022 to show fingerprints were taken. Just heard today about the 48 month extension and have not yet received it, still on the 24 month extension.
  2. Yes, correct, the extension needs to be shown with the green card for status, work, and travel. Good catch, apologies for missing that.
  3. I don't have editing capabilities after a certain time but wanted to share this in case anyone is not aware. Those with pending I-751's and new filings will now receive a 48 month extension.
  4. If I'm not mistaken, filing an I-751 90 days before your GC expires (which you're doing), will trigger USCIS' automated extension letter which will give you what is now a 48 month extension (used to be 18 and then 24 and now this - side note, this is just insane...). This will serve as proof of your status for work and travel. 5. Nevermind JP, I'm there and I see you've been commenting on other folks updates that are close to ours haha
  6. Hey JP, can you share on how I can pull up the sheet with the other CLT people? I find navigating this site slightly tedious (by no means ungrateful but just felt a bit weird when I added my timeline.)
  7. Oh boy, you ready for this? Here's what it says for me (applying on 3 year rule by the way): Estimated time* until case decision: Things are taking longer than expected. You do not have to do anything at this time.
  8. Thank you! So for my N-400, this would be the field office but for my I-751, it would be Potomac service center. I have a notice saying my case was transferred to the National Benefits Center a while back (September 2022). For N-400, 80% case processing times are 15 months. My receipt date is May 23, 2022. By that logic, I can contact them about my case 15 months after the receipt date (August 24, 2023), right? Well, when I enter this in their case processing tool and earliest inquiry date, they give me a date of May 24, 2024.
  9. Hello, I do not know my field office. How do I find this out? I am located in Charlotte.
  10. Thank you! My receipt starts with YSC so I think that’s Potomac? I don’t even know how to do an inquiry…
  11. Hey folks! It’s been a while. For my I-751 ROC, my USCIS account says they could not obtain a status. Earliest inquiry date is September 2023 based on receipt date of May 2021, this is a month after the expiration of my 24 month extension from the initial green card. My N-400 filed based on 3 year rule says its delayed and has no updates since filing date in May 2022. Both are in “normal processing times”, should I go ahead and do an inquiry/message via the USCIS account at this point?
  12. The conversation with the attorney was when we filed to remove the conditions where they answered questions around the wait time to remove conditions. They said that USCIS will just take the application and wait because they know you will file for citizenship, i.e just free money for them. We actually filed N400 on my own without a lawyer but based on my intuition and comparison of timelines, we estimate that we will get citizenship before 2023.
  13. Sorry for double posting but @Azzi if you filed online then log in to your account and look through your cases to find N-400. If it isn't there, I would reach out to USCIS via phone and explain.
  14. Hey everyone! We filed online yesterday after realizing we were eligible to do so after curiosity made us check the site and go through the eligibility tool. Came here to check out if anyone else is doing the same. We filed with the 3 year 90 day rule. I-751 has been pending for about 10 months now. We received biometrics reuse and a receipt the same day. Overnight we received a notification that our case is actively being worked on. Hey, don't worry about the I-751 anymore. Our lawyer told us that this is how USCIS has been doing it now for some time: I-751 remains pending and on the day of your interview, everything gets cleared out (i-751 will just get pushed out or approved til the oath date most likely). Sometimes, depending on your office, they can tell you to take the oath right then and there after the interview if there is availability (but that's actually rare). Congratulations on taking the final step in this journey! Wishing everyone all the best! I'll try to come back here and update when things move on our case and watch for updates from you guys as well!
