Since your case is way outside of normal processing times, if you have the time you should submit a request with USCIS and contact your senator as soon as you get the chance.

Agreed. I submitted a USCIS request about 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard anything from them. So today I filled out the request form with my Senator. Hopefully, this will get the ball rolling. IMHO, 26 months is a bit excessive COVID or not.

Yours is way outside processing times. The current case inquiry date is 9-7-2019 for Potomac. I hope you get an answer soon.

If your case is at a local office then the processing time is different it’s up to 36 months. They don’t send a letter or notice when it is sent to the local office you would have to call and ask. If it still at one of the processing centers then yes it is outside but if it’s at a local office then it’s within processing times. Mine is currently waiting for an interview at the local office so although I’m 25 months I have atleast 11 more months to go before I can really argue with them.

Our case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction. However, we don't know it it was transferred back to VSC, where the I-751 originally was before being transferred to Potomac February 2020, or if it was transferred to a local office. Either way, no notice saying we are even ready to be scheduled for an interview.

I looked my Senator up on line and on their website they had a link to Federal Agencies. Once I clicked on that link, there was a place had listed Help with the Federal Government and a form to fill out and submit for immigration related questions. Hope that helps.

The case status is not going to tell you if it is at a local office. Your case just like mine could very well be at a local office. My case was transferred from vermont to the National benefits center back to vermont and then to the local office I was only alerted about one change. I got an infopass to get my stamp and that’s when I learnt that my case was transferred to a local office. You would have to ask that question or go to an infopass and they will tell u. N again if it’s at a local office u have to allow up to 35.5 months for processing

We were never transferred back to Vermont. Our case stayed at Potomac until the 18 month mark. On the 18 month mark and exact day from submission we received an RFE asking to update all information since we submitted ROC. We submitted everything again (800 pages) of information because they wanted to see everything and I mean everything. Monthly bank statements since AOS even though we already submitted that information. I spoke to my attorney and they said it was likely that since the case had been sitting so long they just wanted an updated version of everything before they could move on. So here we are. We did get an I-551 from the local office a few months back, but our case file still was not there.

Its is and it upsets me. Hopefully, a Congressional inquiry will get the ball rolling and may light a fire under someone's butt. 😀

Haha, I certainly hope that helps! I would probably file the N-400 if becoming a citizen interests you. I believe you may be able to upload evidence with the N-400. I would just upload some evidence of bona fide marriage there. Typically, filing the N-400 will prompt someone to look at your I-751. It's worth a shot.

Yes, we filled for Citizenship back in March. We moved in September 2020 and had to wait 6 months before we could officially file N-400. That's why it set us a little behind, but eventually, all will be good. Just wish it was sooner than later.  LOL
