Case transfer from nvc to another London embassy

Hi all,

I requested a case transfer from Lagos embassy to London embassy, although my case is still at nvc. I submitted the requested via public inquiry form, I received an email today that the correspondence submitted is currently under review. I sincerely want to know what it means and how long it takes to get it transferred. Ir1, DQed Jan 20th 2021.

It means they are reviewing it and will respond when they complete their review.  Usually, they would respond by asking for evidence you have legal residence or citizenship in the UK.  (unless you already provided that as part of your request)  If they ask, then you respond, it will be under review again.  Timing is not predictable.

Thank you for the response. I attached my resident permit, proof of address and mobile number. I called nvc today and they said my request has been forwarded to London USA consulate. The wait time is what am curious about.

Hi, when did you actually raise this request? I’m also thinking of transferring my case.

Yes since Feb 9th. Am waiting for the transfer now.

It looks like they are currently processing inquiries received on 7-FEB-2022. Hopefully, you'll get an update by end of this week.
