Hi guys, have you received a interview date yet with Sydney embassy? Our case was DQ two weeks ago and we’re still waiting. I know your case was DQ’d a couple days before ours, so I’ve been following your timeline.. Thanks

Hi!! No, we haven’t received any update on the visa interview as yet. :( I have seen few people post on Facebook page - who have already received their visa interview date for March (next month) and they were DQ’d back in October last year, so I believe Sydney consulate have already cleared all the cases till October 2021 and recently they requested for more cases (applicants who got DQ’d in Dec 2021) to be transferred from NVC to their office. So based on that, I believe we’ll have to wait for another 3-4 months for the interview date.

Let me know if you get any update on the visa interview and I’ll do the same. Since we both got DQ’d early Feb, it is highly likely that we will get an update at the same time. :)

Wow ok I thought we’d hear something sooner, but maybe we’re in for a bit of a longer wait.. For sure, I’ll let you know as soon as I hear anything, pretty certain we will both hear at the same time about a interview date. Thanks for responding :)

Yeah - Unfortunately, it's going to be another round of wait. Awesome, thank you! :)

Any updates? I’m not on FB, but are you seeing anything happening through that group? :)
blank avatar Ash23122 on 2022-03-17 said:
Nope, no new update on my end. Still haven't heard anything back from the consulate or NVC yet. I've sent a couple of emails to the consulate asking them to provide an update but no luck. :(

I’m thinking about starting to bombard them via emails.. This sucks, while other countries are interviewing Australia of all places can’t work it out! Well crossing fingers we’ll both hear back soon :)

I'd definitely suggest you do that. What I don't understand is why they aren't able to transfer our cases to the Melbourne consulate, where they are fully operational.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
