What does "under active review" really mean.

Does anyone out there know what changes to make your case status "under active review" as opposed to whatever it was before that happened?

Nothing substantial. It just means that they touched your file.

Under active review means it’s in a big stack on someone‘s desk

It you just filed, it means your case is being transferred. If it is few months, it means you getting close.
