Of course No 32000!!... That's just ridiculous!

Processing time keep going up and no one is responsible!

It's not just a bad day. It's been like this in past 15 months. No one can understand what we're going through ...

@grumpypiggy @mw & rg k1 thanks for updating

@grumpypiggy @mw & rg k1 thanks for updating

Even funnier, they think processing time prolong can keep us from querying. Why they proceed Jan and Feb’s instead of touching Dec’s?

Sorry, I didn't mean to diminish anyone waiting by saying it was just a bad day, I too am waiting even though not as long as you all.
I understand it sucks they only approved 3 December cases yesterday. Clearly a terrible day for December approvals, I meant. But wasn't such a great day for any other month anyway (comparing to previous days this month).

But we are seeing weekly and daily processing numbers increasing everyday. The main spreadsheet wasn't updated yet, but I looked at Lawfully and they completed 137 cases yesterday, a huge portion being from super old cases from up to Feb 2021 (though all are denials) and Lawfully doesn't count withdrawals on this. They are also sending a lot of RFEs (even if they aren't the quickest to make a decision from RFEs, means they are reviewing cases).

The inquiry date is the worst scenario I can see. Not even being able to inquire is absurd, they definitely should change that. There's really little accountability and we're left at their mercy.

Hoping for a better day for December today to end the week on a high note.

With the average case processing time increasing, I finally pulled the trigger to send a letter to my senator.

Specifically, I asked for him (as the Chair of the committee that oversees USCIS) to apply pressure to USCIS to minimize RFER (Rfe responce)  to decision time.

As of yesterday three were 124 cases in RFER and only 90 decisions previously made
Quite a few are 3 weeks to 2 months old.

If you are any of these cases, send me a direct message just in case the senators office asks.
Would love to use your case (along with mine) to add credence to the complaint.

As having a Brazilian beneficiary,  first let me say Oi.  (can't say more than that since this is an English only forum)

My burndown should show the cases from Feb 2021 as you describe shortly (I do an update every Mon, Wed, Fri and do monitor "Untouched" cases for all of 2021.
If those were RFEs then will not see them since "Burndown" is only "Untouched" to "Touched"

As for RFEs, I am in the RFER process and will have a report out on this as well.

As for total processing, the USCIS shifted from a fairly orderly process in late 2022 to a very indeterministic process as can be seen with my "Burndown" graphs.  When they started processing August petitions, there was an increasing number of "cases being left behind" which has only increased through September, October, and November.  Oddly, December cases have fewer left behind as even compared with November as of my last report.

We (as December) filers are clearly behind the main wave of processing (for unopened cases as well as RFE resolutions).
As you can see on by post just above, the waiting for Received RFE returned data is (in some cases) awful.
Once upon a time (before my case entered this status), I too thought RFE was a good thing meaning case was being processed.
Now, I see it as just as another "wait and see when they do" catagory.

Frustrating.

Haha oi! You will probably learn more sentences soon! Been trying to teach my fiancé too but it's not the easiest language. And I've been following your data for a while now as a Feb 22 filer (also have a tendency of rooting strongly for Brazilian fiancés couples!).

Yes, comparing the numbers, it was definitely a denied case after a RFER for that one Feb 21 case, but some straight denials for May, June, July 21. They seem to be extending their range going back, it's also unfortunate how little they processed on months they should be actively reviewing though. There are so many cases left behind.

I feel for you and for your RFER being untouched so far. I am afraid of getting an RFE as well and having my "clock" stopped too with no light at the end of the tunnel. Good thing you contacted your senator! Hopefully things will start moving forward soon for you.

I also have a Brazilian fiancé and I have been hoping for both you and all the cases left behind. But, as Sarah said I especially root for the Brazilian couples. You both have done so much for everyone I will put you in my prayers.

Burndown statistics which compares activity from Last Friday to today ....

in an earlier post on VJ there was a statment that 100+ cases from Jan 2021 were adjusted into denials.
This burndown looks at "Unopened Cases" (i.e. case was received or xxx was updated) changing to RFE or Decision.

I don't see this earlier data reported so can only assume it was aged out RFEs that were converted to denials.

For the rest of us (especially Dec and Nov cases) the data is not great.
down to 10-25% of unopened cases being opened ... lets hope for a little stronger processing next week.

Max (previously untouched) cases opened :    45

Sorry, let me just correct that I said because I think my "huge portion" was a communication fail from me. I checked Lawfully earlier today to check on yesterday's completed cases. They completed 137 cases per Lawfully on the 23rd. The bigger portion *of the graph* was activity on 2021 cases prior to December, including one completed case filed in Feb 2021, even though the biggest activity was on January and February 22 (the majority of completed cases were filed in these months). And since Lawfully provides the case number, I looked them all up and all cases completed from February 2021 to July 2021 were denials, most of them from RFER but some straight denials as well, though I won't remember the exact number.

Rooting for you too, but as I said, I'm biased! haha and no need to thank me at all. mw & rg is the one deserving of any praise for the work here, I basically just pull data from already written scripts and apps. Hope you get your approval soon as well! Tell your Brazilian fiancé I said "oi"! :)

We were blessed on Thursday with our approval. Not sure how or why. I have a common name so I got fingerprints taken at my local police station and ordered an FBI report on myself which I included in my packet. No idea if that helped or made slightest difference. February 1st NOA1

We were blessed on Thursday with our approval. Not sure how or why. I have a common name so I got fingerprints taken at my local police station and ordered an FBI report on myself which I included in my packet. No idea if that helped or made slightest difference. February 1st NOA1

Congrats (Parabéns)

Not sure it did as my mom used to host foster children so my fingerprints are on file too.

Seems to be no rhyme or reason when a case comes up for processing foe quite some time.

But regardless, congratulations and hopefully smooth processing through NVC and in Rio.
