  1. I can totally relate... I went to DMV and renewed/upgraded my DL to Real ID on Nov 17, and I still haven't got it in mail....Made a call on Dec 29, said it is issued and I will receive it in 2 weeks, I will check the mailbox tomorrow so we will see. I went to SSA office today to update my immigration status and remove the restriction on my old SSN (work only with DHS authorization). Officer said my immigtation status hasn't changed in their system due to my GC is relatively new (said normally take one month after issue to get in the system), so they will manually fax my documents to immigration officer for verification. After verified, they will mail the updated SSN to me. The whole processing would take up to 4 weeks instead of 2, told by the SSA officer. Slow processing as usual....Sigh
  2. Jokes on me as well lol My GC said was delivered by USPS on Dec 22, but the UPS store did not received it (my mailing address is a UPS lockbox, usually I will get an email notification of packages delivered to UPS the same day). My husband thought it might just been the holiday season, UPS busy with all the packages and didn't get the time to scan them all into their system, so we waited til Dec 26, still no result. I was so desperate, we opened a case with USPS and filed a police record of potential lost/theft of ID card and ready to fill I-90 replacement of GC (another 6 months - 1 year perhaps), then guess what.... Right after we reported to the police station on Dec 28, we went back to the UPS store to pick up another package and another employee we know for a long time was nice enough to help us finding it again (3rd attempt after other staff), and finally found it in the pile....lol Looks like it was the USPS fault of not putting that into the package pile on top for them to scan as package (usually they put all the things in a bin and packages with tracking# on top, mails on the bottom), and UPS somehow thought it was a regular mail and did not scan it into the system.... Anyway, what a rollercoaster experience. Big relief that I got the card (they are a surprising amount of USPS losing GC cases I found online, got me so scared)...USPS overall is just 💩💩. I hope USCIS could give more options on carriers especially for important documents like ID card, at least required signatures...
  3. Update: Case status changed to Card Was Picked Up By USPS with tracking number provided. Expected delivery on 12/22/2023 Friday. @mw & rg k1 Looks like mine takes 9 days after approval to received the card. In my case it shows the tracking number when picked up, although I do knew others' status changed to card was delivered (tracking shown after got delivered) directly after case approved.
  4. FYI: I asked Emma today about my green card: Card Produced 12/19/2023, no tracking number yet. (My case status still showing case approved)
  5. My RFE letter is from SAN JOSE field office, but other than that all came from NBC.
  6. I'm in a 0922 wechat group with 140 family based AOS filers, from what I could tell among all the 8 filers who got approved by now, 2 are K1 (including me). Those who got approved with I-130 are case number starting with 09220-09223, while K1 approval filers like me are 09228. So the general idea we discussed is K1 should be relatively faster than spouses that filed AOS with I-130, because we already went through I-129F. So less paperwork to check for USCIS, and probably less chance to get an interview.
  7. I have a friend of mine also answered it wrong without receiving RFE yet. She just uploaded page numbers related to question 61-68 with cover letter explaining changes, did not submit the complete I-485 paperwork and got approval as well. The reason why I submitted the whole form again with initials signed next to changes been made is because that's what is required in the RFE. I think if you haven't received one yet, you can just upload the cover letter along with updated pages as one file in the online account as unsolidated evidence. If your case number started with IOE, I would suggest you wait another week for the online access code, since your filing date is Dec 14. I haven't heard anyone mailed evidence without RFE to USCIS, so better just wait to upload it online. If you get the related RFE before the online access code, that's ok too. Just follow the instructions and mail it. In general, no need to worry too much Hope this helps you!
  8. I don’t think there will be tracking number shown in online account, but you could ask Emma to get it (i will do that next Monday). My research regarding time would be case status updates to “card is being delivered by post office” in 7-8 days after case was approved. Will let y’all know when i get the card. Also hope everyone else speeding approval before New Year!!
  9. my guess would be you will get approved by tomorrow😆 that’s what happened to me as well (changed from 4 months to 4 weeks, step 3 to 4 the day before approval) maybe you could check with Emma about the current status or just wait another day or two…anyway An early congratulations to you!
  10. my I-485 was approved!!! (tears…) Got the notification from case tracker app, here is the timeline:
  11. There is still no approval notice under my 485 documents online...but my status is in step 4 (case decision) instead of step 3(attend interview), and estimated time has changed from 4 months to 4 weeks compared to yesterday.
  12. Thank you! Tips: text “live chat” to Emma—>sometimes just keep clicking on connect me to a live chat—>you are asked if you have the A-number/case number, and click Yes—>type in case number—>type case status—>wait Emma to connect you to a real agent Every time Emma says “service is down please try again later”, ignore it…just keep sending the message you want until it gets back to you.
  13. Ok, I asked two Emma (just to double check) and they both told me my case was approved and card is awaiting production 12-12-2023 today, but my online account case status still showing response to RFE received, guess we will see! I still can't believe this...Hope my wish (get approval on 2 year anniversery of K1 application ---> 12-15-2021) could come ture🥹
  14. Below is a helpful and informative post I found online regarding case transfer from NBC to FO (and eventually FO to NBC...) ================================================================ You will never get a transfer notice from NBC to a field office because it's not a physical transfer unlike when a case moves from one service center to another. There are 6 service centers ( Texas, Nebraska, California, Vermont, Potomac and Missouri that is NBC) . Under NBC, there are 89 field offices. When case goes to FO from NBC, it's an electronic transfer unless it's going to local FO for interview. Any transfer between service centers is an actual physical transfer of case papers and hence you get notified and get a physical receipt. 'Case transfer' status means, service center which had your case till now confirming transfer. 'Case transferred and new office has adjudication' means new office had accepted the case adjudication. By the way, these statuses are just and electronic translations. Look at it as a bank transfer. First status is like you sent a check to a party through your bank, second status is their back acknowledging that they received the check. It take few days the party will receive the cash. Same here, after these two statuses show up, it takes 2 to 4 weeks your case is physically transfers and get routed in at NBC. Once it receives in NBC, it electronically gets transferred to a FO and that's when Emma agents will tell you what office it is. Until that happens, you will get random answers like, case is at NBC, case is still at TSC/NSC, case was never transferred or transferred back. Don't believe those answers. It will just raise your blood pressure. In my case, my case transfer status was happened on Feb 15th and 16th. Until 3/15 I was getting random answers. Finally on 3/19, agents started to tell me that my case was transferred to San Fernando Valley FO. So it took almost a month to transfer to NBC physically. Hope this helps..
  15. Sorry to hear that I also renewed my CA DL and upgraded to real ID on 2023-11-17 (using EAD card and I-765 online approval notice, I-94 expired as well), they told me I will receive it in mail within 3-4 weeks, so far 3 weeks almost past and still nothing...maybe I should also give them a call to ask for the status. Hope everything is fine.
  16. My AOS timeline for your reference: 2023-10-21 Package sent via UPS Next-Day-Air 2023-10-24 UPS delivered 2023-10-26 Check cashed 2023-10-27 Receipt numbers received via SMS + bio appt scheduled 2023-11-01 Online access code letter received (notice date 2023-10-27) 2023-11-02 Walk-in, got biometrics done earlier (scheduled on 2023-11-16) 2023-11-06 NOA1 + bio appt letters received (notice date 2023-10-27) 2023-11-28 Case was transferred to San Jose field office (via ask Emma) 2023-11-29 Request for additional evidence was sent (failed to answer Public Charge inadmissibility questions) 2023-11-30 Response to request for evidence was received (online submitted) My advice would be ask Emma, I know it would probably take more than one attempt, cuz every Emma has a different personality 😂 I would keep asking until I get my answer with the right Emma. That's how I get to know the tracking number of my EAD, and AOS transfer date from NBC to FO....
  17. i mean…you don’t have to wait for it to come. I kinda regret that i didn’t submit corrections before they gave me RFE…didn’t get the time to do that due to thanksgiving trip. If i did that on time, I could get an approval by now
  18. I answered "No", which should be "Yes". They need me to provide additional info on the rest of the questions, quote from my RFE: Failed to answer Public Charge inadmissibility questions. You indicated that you are not subject to the public charge ground of inadmissibility under INA 212(a)(4) when answering Part 8., Item Number 61. on your Form I-485. Therefore, you did not answer Part 8., Item Numbers 62.-68 related to the public charge ground of inadmissibility. However, you are subject to the public charge ground of inadmissibility because you are applying for adjustment of status as a family-based applicant. Please provide your answers to Part 8., Item Numbers 62.-68. on Form I-485 related to the public charge ground of inadmissibility. Place your initials and the date next to each answer and return your completed Form I-485 with your response to this notice.
  19. RFE received today lol, and it is related to the public charge questions I answered wrong. Anyway, I just uploaded the response and hope everything goes smoothly after this. 2023-11-29 Request for additional evidence was sent (failed to answer Public Charge inadmissibility questions) 2023-11-30 Response to request for evidence was received (online submitted)
  20. fyi USCIS are expending myProgress to Form-485. Now we can see the “estimated” timeline on MyUSCIS now. Mine showing 4 months….. btw Happy Thanksgiving to y’all!
  21. Once you got the online access code, you can upload solicited evidence in myUSCIS under the case you want.
  22. Thanks for clarifying! We will upload correction doc online next week before they send us RFE (hopefully not lol)
  23. I also answered with No, but haven’t received any RFE yet. Guess we will see…Please keep us posted if your RFE is related to this question. I know a lot of people are confusing about it (including me). Still don’t know what’s the right answer…
