05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I'm an SUV kind of guy, and I'm not talking about the model Y.

I remember you posting something about it, but my mind is nowhere NEAR as active as NB2's, so I give up.

I DO know about the Prowler you had sneaking around in your garage, however...

No EV is at the proper price point to replace ICE vehicles.  This has been the case since 1900.  And I don't believe that ANY electric car can save enough money via charging to make it a "value" over an ICE vehicle.  Right now, they are still priced for the rich or the ignorant (those who believe that EVs will save the planet), IMO.

I WILL say that even a base model Tesla 3 will blow away most modern ICE vehicles when it comes to acceleration.  But that's only fun for a little while, or for the youthful generations.  

 

Having said all of that, I am still buying TSLA and LCID stock.  Best two items in my portfolio.

Dunno why customers would want to drive "yours"?  Tesla has free test drives at all their sales locations.  The only thing is that usually it's only the base models, as the higher-trim lines sell so fast, they cannot afford to keep a demo on the lot.

My vehicle is a Lincoln Aviator which replaced a Mercedes diesel SUV

Wife drives a Mercedes C300

Have the Prowler and a couple of Corvairs.

 

Had a 65 Thunderbird but got rid of it a while back.

 

Keeping my eye open for something odd or interesting.

Look at Ga.  Then FL.  Then peep out CA.  It's almost like GA is non-existent when it comes to Tesla.  And with all the hype about Tesla, Ford sells more cars in a day than Tesla does in... what?  a year?  6 months?
