Hello,

Brand new to this website, but so happy to see that something like this exists. My fiancee and I prepared our I-129 Form without a lawyer, so we'd figure we'd pose our question here to start.

I, the US citizen, am the petitioner, and I applied for a K-1 Fiancee Visa for my fiancee who is a Chinese passport holder, though currently living in Dubai.

Since submitting our K1 visa application in June of 2021 (it was routed to the California Service Center), my fiancee has changed his mailing address from one location in Dubai to another location in Dubai. Form AR-11 is very confusing to us, as we are unsure if it can be used ONLY to change his mailing address. Part of our confusion stems from the fact that the "new address" options only lists US states; we are looking to update his mailing address to an address in Dubai. Further, is Form AR-11 even supposed to be used for changing the address of the beneficiary?

From our research, it looks like it might not be necessary to change his mailing address until after we receive NOA 2. In this case, I guess USCIS would email me, the petitioner, with NOA 2 information? (I entered my email information on Form I129F. Anyone have any experience with this, especially in Dubai?

Thanks so much!

You can update the address when your case gets to the consulate and your fiancé has to fill out DS-160. They don’t really care if the beneficiary relocates, especially if it’s within the country.

PS USCIS won’t be emailing you, you’ll receive a notice of approval in the mail just like the NOA1.

No need for AR-11.  After the petition is approved and the case gets to the embassy, your fiance should just enter his updated address information in the DS-160 visa application form.
