No response after interview

Hi guys, so our experience was a little bit odd. We had our interview on march 29th, 2021 at Chicago office. In that interview, the officer approved our case on the spot, and told us we would receive conditional green card, and we would have to apply for 10 year one after 2 years. So we were so happy about the approval. But then, we didn't receive anything until now. It's been almost 6 months already. Our case status stuck on the " interview was scheduled " phase. We did multiple service requests. They didn't work. I'm just so frustrated now.  We don't know what to do. Does any of you guys have any similar experience like this, or have any advice on this?  It would be appreciated. Thank you!

So you didnt receive your green card until now?  Or still waiting?

Agree.  This seems to be extremely weird.  That is much too long.....

I will try to do that. I don't know if this is normal? It just seems too long! I wonder if anyone have experienced this? But thank you for your info!

It's really not normal.  One month would be normal.

 

Are you adjusting from a K-1?

 

Have you moved recently, or is it possible USCIS has tried to contact you with an RFE or something?

All approvals have to go through a supervisor, but 6 months is way too long.

 

Have you called to inquire about your case? Ask for a tier 2 agent.

Maybe the card was produced and sent already, but the system was never updated -hopefully that's not the case-.

My son in law arrived from Egypt last week. His passport visa serves as his temporary green card till 10 year one comes. He received his social security card on Friday.

Not relevant to OP's situation.  OP is adjusting status in the US.

I know right? I thought we would receive the card within 2 weeks since it was approved on the spot. After the interview, we didn't receive anything. No RFE either. We didn't move because of this. But i guess this is taking too long. :((

Yes, about 2-3 months after the interview, we talked to the tier 2 agent. He said the case is within normal processing time, which is like 18 or 20 something months. I told him we already had the interview, and it's not like we are waiting for the interview. He didn't give any solution. So maybe i should re contact them again since it's been almost 6 months after the interview.

Absolutely, you should call. Hopefully you get a more helpful and knowledgeable agent.

 

The only thing I could think of is, besides the card being already sent, is your file being missing. Happened to us, but it was retrieved 2 months later; 6 months is way too much.

They always say i have to wait at least 28months from the priority date, then i can contact tier 2, or make an info pass. tier 1 agent just told me to wait. It's really frustrating to be honest. but thank you. Glad that your case went smoothly eventually.
