We haven't seen each other in 19 months and have been living with an ocean between us for 5 years! It's finally time for us to start our lives together!!

But he’s not leaving for 4 more months? Do you have a big wedding planned?

He has a lot to sort out before he moves. Plus he has to work out his notice with his job. By the time all of that is done, it will be Christmastime. He is going to use Dec spending time with his friends and family. It wouldn't be right for him to move over 4,000 miles away just before Christmas. As the US won't allow UK residents over at this time, we are planning a very small, intimate ceremony with my kids and a handful of people. We are going to Facetime his family if the government will not them over come Jan. Again....it just wouldn't be right to have a wedding his friends and family can not attend. If we could wait to have the wedding we would, but that is just not an option with the K-1

Sounds like a good plan. We had an informal gathering with a few local friends and a judge on a Sunday afternoon. My sister was so MAD that we told her and the rest not to come. It took all of 5 minutes to marry then some cake and coffee (and tea for me). Wasn’t worth the trip to see that and us having to deal with her for 2 weeks or however long she would have stayed with us. 😝  We just needed to get settled in and play host and hostess at a later time when we got a little more organized. I think we were still using flip phones back then so no FaceTime 😂

I think FaceTime saved our emotions! This separation would have been brutal without it!
