Hi guys,

I apologize if a similar post was created in the past. I tried to look for one but couldn’t find any.

i am currently in the AOS process and working with an EAD that’s expiring at the end of the year (December 2021).

When would you advise filling the paperworks for the ead and advance parole extension and what should I file?

You are eligible to file for BOTH renewal NOW.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

As soon as you are able to, which is 180 days before the combo card expires. You send the same forms.

Thank you, would you recommend doing it now even if I have planned a trip out of the US next month? Could it pose a problem?

you should do it now, especially as the renewals are taking 6-9 months. trip would not be a factor as long as you return before your current AP card expires
