I signed up for the program and so far, it's been a good experience. I had a one on one meeting with a career coach who is helping me improve my resume. Once I have a job interview lined up, she's also going to help me with interview practice.

Looks like a PBS company asking for donations

Not a fan of any type of website that asks for donations

It's a nonprofit. Of course it runs on donations. But it doesn't charge the beneficiaries money to participate. So I'm getting a career coach, personalized interview practice and training for free.

Sure thing, I'll update this thread after I've spent some more time in the program.

Hi Adventine,

Life has a funny way of working out. My husband got promoted at his full time job and no longer had the time to manage our family business (another full time job in itself. So I ended up taking over the family business instead of pursuing the job search with Upwardly Global.

I still recommend it for anyone looking to break into the US job market, especially white collar / knowledge-based jobs.

I was in their program for a bit. It was quite useful for me to understand the way how to write your resume in the U.S.. The career planning part wasn't really my need, but the mock job interview was good for me to refresh my job interview skills.

I was lucky to land on a job very quickly so I didn't use their help for that long. They're after all very good though.
