I can do so much with the EAD. I'm certain that the backlog is huge and will take its sweet time. Thanks ♥.

@MyjourYou can apply for jobs. Once you get a job offer (hopefully by email), you can call USCIS and request to expedite. Sometimes they do not even ask you to submit the evidence of Job offer and they still approve it.

I've been thinking about it. I'll try to get one that fits my skills. Thanks again.

I want to do the same but not sure if I will be successful.

I am currently here with E-1 and am employed. Will expediting with a new job offer still work? Or would they see that I am currently employed and just dismiss my request.

Anyhow, I still need my bio appointment....

This could be a little bit complex since you're still employed. I'd just try to see if a bio appt can be expedited so avoid the wait time for the actual appointment to come thru. Also, depending of the expiration of your E1 you could ask for an expedite so that you don't fall in financial loss. That's what I'd try but I am not a lawyer.

If you have a job offer, you would need the EAD to take it, correct? So that would be your basis to expedite the EAD/AP. (You have to mention the AP to them. Otherwise, you will not get a combo card). You do not need to wait for your biometrics. From what others have reported recently - they call USCIS and request to expedite even though they have not had their biometrics yet. Often times, the agent does not even mention that biometrics has not taken place. Then, apparently, the request to expedite seems to trigger the biometrics appointment.

@Myjour it can be any job - literally Costco, customer service - whatever. You are not tied to the job for life. The same way that most employment in the US is at will. Take home message - you can expedite with a job offer. No one is going to say "well, you were a nuclear engineer in your country and now you want to work at costo?"

No feedback through EMMA. All they said is that it is not scheduled. Although scheduled by NBC, I wonder if the capacity at the FO plays a role. Not sure.

I will just wait

That's the only thing to do. You know, I have noticed a trend, could be my perception or who knows, I paid for a service that allowed me to talk to an attorney and they prepared the whole documents package, it's called Boundless, and I ppl that I know who used the service got a much faster response and ppl who just DIY their application. I'm not trying to say this was your case nor it's the case of everyone but I just noticed that.

FO I don't think they play a big role since their job is basically schedule and interview the applicants once the SC send the green light to them. And ASC is just there to take bio and other limited services, they hardly ever schedule appointments, it all goes thru the SC in charge of your case. I'm at the NBC as well, maybe they have a queue or a backlog. In any case, let's hope for the best.

If you are referring to EAD/AP, then yes, the local FO has no role because NBC handles EAD/AP processing.  But for AOS interview, the FO would be the biggest factor as the availability of interview schedules depends on the backlog at the FO.  Use of a lawyer or immigration form filing service has no correlation to the interview wait time.
