How Long to Receive NOA1?

Hello everyone,

It's that time again to deal with USCIS to move my wife into the next stage of her immigration process. We filed our I-751 and USPS indicated they received our documents on 04/22. However, we have not yet received an NOA1 indicating that our documents were received or that a case was opened with USCIS. Normally, this is supposed to take 10 business days to acknowledge receipt of the documents, so I am getting quite nervous with her green card expiring at the end of June. I tried emailing the lockbox support, but, apparently, they won't respond for an I-751 notice. I also tried calling the call center, which directs me either to an automated system that either hangs up on me or tells me to email lockbox. Is anyone else having a similar experience with a delay with receiving their NOA1? Does anyone have any advice for what to do if my wife's green card expires before we get one? Any tips for getting through to a live agent with the call center? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks and best of luck to everyone who is also filing.

CA filer here. Sent my package out on 2/11/21 by USPS, delivered on 2/12 to the Arizona PO Box, USCIS received my case on 2/16, didn't hear anything until 4/5 I received my NOA in mail, my NOA date marked as 3/31 on the paperwork. I didn't even know when did they process my fees lol. I was told by my attorney to be patient since California Service Center is blah, swamped. She originally told me that it might take 60-90 days to get the NOA in mail, if it doesn't arrive after 90 days, then it's an abnormal situation which needs to look into. So when I got it on 4/5, I was overly thrilled lol, cuz I was not even expecting it al all.

I know it sucks, but sigh, all we can say to ourselves is, hang in there!

It is taking 4 to 6 weeks on average to get the NOA1.

If you included a G-1145 with your packet, when your case is accepted, you'll receive a message on your phone with your case number. The NOA1 should arrive a few days after that.
