Hi, we had our IR-5 approved by NVC in June 2020.

We have just received letters from NVC advising us of our interview date which is in June and our medicals are booked beforehand. Have a slight issue getting an updated Police Certificate though (the previous one had expired)..and had to pay an extra £40 each to get them expedited or they would not arrive in time for medical!

The Embassy seem to be getting through the applications quite quickly now, especially since the tier system was introduced.

I'm sure you will get an email soon. :)

Thank you, I really hope so.

New to this thread too but following. Parents got DQ'd in IR5 category mid April and mid May respectively. No moved at all on the interview. Says its with NVC. I will keep you all updated on any movement. Looks like there are IR1 category visas being scheduled in London, according to a different forum

Click “timeline” in her post and you can see all the dates. She’s done a great job of filling it out.

So having put my original post in the wrong forum I have started over and I am asking a few extra questions regarding the UK medical requirement on the summary care.

Do the medical people want all of the information in the consultations, or is it up until that point?  If they want all of that information, has anyone that has previously had depression etc had issues at the medical because of what was in that section?

Also how far back do they want me to go, I only just registered at my local GP in February 2021 and they are still waiting or some info so I have emails of around 22 pages worth of different summaries.

Any help gratefully received!!

We applied back in 2018 but there was a backlog at Nebraska and then Trump blocked immigration so there has been a lot of unexpected delays. We would have been interviewed last June. 🙄

My parents had their interview on Tuesday and it went well.  They did take a different copy of my dad's birth certificate (I didn't realise they even had another one so this was a surprise to me lol) and my mum took her certified copy of my birth certificate so they got initially refused pending the upload of a copy of these documents to the CEAC NVC log in.  I did that and it has turned from Refusal to in administrative processing .  My mum was missing a vaccine and had it done but it had not arrived from the medical place yet so that was also on the refusal.  The medical place confirmed they'd now sent the report with the vaccine. Hopefully they'll be 'ready' next week...

Hello everyone! Following this. My mom was DQ’d on Sept 17. Hoping that she gets her interview soon. My sister, living in the U.K. with the intent to return to the US is the sponsor. If she receives a job offer with an imminent start date, will that be a basis for expediting the interview? Not sure if anyone knows or not, I thought to ask.

She can always ask.  Right now the case isn't even at the consulate so you would have to start with the NVC.
