Hello has anyone had a positive experience at nvc without having their tax transcripts? My 2019 return is still being processed and I had to send 2020 by mail so l don’t have any information about that one yet? I’m worried about getting an approval from nvc and then for my husband having a hard time at his interview

Instead of transcripts, you can send copies of the tax returns with schedules, W-2s, 1099s, etc.

FYI, the NVC has no decision making authority and doesn't "approve" anything.  Their function is to check files for completeness and send them off to the appropriate post abroad.

to be specific

send copy of 1040,  all W2's and 1099's with copy of last pay statement and if the job is new , send a letter from employer saying when hired and that the position is permanent  for 2019 and 2020 (u don't know which one will be needed at the interview as the date has not yet been set)

If your income does not meet the amount needed,  the CO will request you get a joint sponsor

your husband should not have a hard time if he knows everything there is to know about u ,  your family,  freinds,  life in the US

and what he intends to do (work or study) when he comes   /  knowing all about u is part of proving a real relationship

Thank you so much! We are having a baby next month together and I’ve been with him in his country, which my family is from too, for almost a year, I’m just going to use a cosponsor but my cosponsor transcripts aren’t ready yet, but hopefully they will be by the interview

u r still primary sponsor and need to fill out the i  864

joint sponsor will fill out I 864a

u do know u need to show proof of a US residency?

Since you and he are together ,  he won't have issues with his part of the interview

Issues will be your US residency and acceptance of ur income and joint sponsor income

Recently, Casa has accepted the W2 with 1040 for K1’s. They’re still asking for transcripts for CR1/IR1 cases. They’ve been a bit more lenient in recent days so just take what you have as far as W2 and 1040 for the most recent tax year 2020. They won’t look at any other evidence such as letter from employer or pay stubs.
