  1. Recently, Casa has accepted the W2 with 1040 for K1’s. They’re still asking for transcripts for CR1/IR1 cases. They’ve been a bit more lenient in recent days so just take what you have as far as W2 and 1040 for the most recent tax year 2020. They won’t look at any other evidence such as letter from employer or pay stubs.
  2. It’s typical for the doctors in Casa to not have appointments available. The best thing to do is to go in person and offer a monetary incentive for an appointment. If you still don’t get an appt. you can still attend the interview. You’ll be placed in Refused/AP until the medical is submitted. You want to do whatever it takes to avoid AP since Casa is notorious for neglecting cases.
  3. As others have mentioned, Casa is slowly issuing interviews for IR-5 category. I know of two cases that interviewed and visa was issued this past week so they are happening. All you can do is wait for the Consulate to issue an appointment. You can try messaging them but it’s not very effective in speeding up your case.
  4. Hello, I’m wondering if there’s a first time DACA application guide? It’s for a young man, he’s 30 and came to the U.S. without inspection at age 8. At some point he had a work permit through 245-i. Can someone provide me with a step by step, checklist, Facebook group, or guide to help him? Thanks!
