Extension on Mandamus

I made Mandamus for my case which going on and lawsuit due date is March 28,2021. But today I got email from my Lawyer defendants ask for extension due date is May 10,2021. My question this is  common thing they asked for extension?

Yes. This is now common. 
since pandemic has badly hit the workforce. 
I’ve seen many multiple cases who received extension. Even one applicant received 2 times extension and then visa. 
all applicants with extension got the visas.

Yes they commonly ask for one and may even ask for two.  You have the option to deny the extension but I wouldn't yet.

In your Mandamus also asked extension and this is worried point or just ask for Pandemic reason pressure work on them?

We filed in February of last year just before the pandemic shut down so I wasn't surprised they asked for 2 extensions.

I had last month Interview 25 February 2021, after that 4 March 2021 they send me email for We glad for inform you need your medical and joint Sponsor which I was send them 10 March 2021. After that we got email from lawyer extension. Just now waiting for approve visa.

Embassy ask for 60 days more time.
