Congratulations JayJay & Ben! What a tremendous week for you! :)

PS: very interesting to note that you *were* asked about your entry, to the contrary of all the reports that say otherwise. I'm glad it came up, and I'm gladder at her response. :)

Thank you all so much! You're all so sweet - holy moly, all the response - I'm gobsmacked! (F) (F) (F)

Thanks meaxuna :)(F) - I was wondering the same myself - I think it was a formality from the way she asked - not too "involved" a question (like the ones she asked boaut employment, taxes etc), I thought that she'd have probably nodded the same way, whatevr I said - nice to be asked though - she wrote down my response as well, on a piece of paper she was taking notes on :)

I hope everyone waiting has a nice experience like ours - well planned, professional and great! You guys will come to the end of the road soon enough..time does fly, especially towards the end :)

Now yes, we can concentrate on our house and the future...my ticker is counting the days....:P(F)

Yeah, writing it down could be a hedge against misrepresentation, and evidence against a person who lies in their answer. Good to know that one may be asked, and the answer recorded.

I think your memory book thingie turned out to be a great idea, in more than one way! I read your thread with concerns about limited evidence. I doubt fakers would go to the trouble of putting an album togther like that.

Hey, I meant to say: after seeing your piccie, I vote for more Olive Garden meals for you skinny minny! :P

Yes.. I also found it interesting that she asked about the details of the entry... And agree with your subsequent interpretation on why it was asked... to see if it was innocent or if something more sinister was involved... a different answer or method of how it was answered (body language, tone of voice, how the questions was answered, etc.) may have resulted in a different tone and manner of futher questioning... They are trained to pick up on people who may be misrepresenting themselves..

Thank you the rest of you lovely people! You all rock! *hugs to ya all* (F) (F) :)

I guess it really just depends on what kind of immigration officer you have, as to how much you'll be asked about the visitor side of things. For instance Kezzie and Christina didn't get asked, whereas I did. I would say that the lady who interviewed us actually seemed genuinely interested in people and very thorough overall, and I suppose other officers are different. Wasn't anything to worry about though, anyway :)

Be interesting to create some kind of ratio! :P
