Sucks about the nap. Glad you got something for the flu. I hope it kicks in soon.

Kids are great at sharing things we don't want them to share.

Our cats hate the paté, stuff too.

Our heating went out Tuesday morning. One of the coldest days last week too. Luckily the part was still under warranty sadly labour was not and still cost a small fortune.

Mini-B. has very highly developed negotiation skills when he wants something, si man.  (He will certainly end up as a Sales Director somewhere, convinced we man.)  However, he has met his match, see man.

Text exchange between we man and wee man just now, see man:

Mini-B.:  Hey Dad, can I borrow $Many ($2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2), huh man?

T-B.:  Can we put our bird in your oven, huh man?

M.-B.:  Dad please. There's this new game that I really want.  And it's on sale, si man.

T-B.:  Borrow it from Mommy, si man.

M.-B.:  She won't.  Because she wants to buy me Jordans, si man.

T-B.:  Decide which one you want more, si man.

M.-B.:  The shoes will barely fit me for another year probably.  But the game will last for a way longer time, si man.

T-B.:  Then tell her that you want the game instead of the Jordans, si man.  Simple, si man.

M.-B.:  OK [pause] I told her and she still doesn't want to buy it, no man.

T-B.:  Use your negotiating skills, si man.

M.-B.: Those don't work on her -- I tried, si man.

T-B.:  Try harder, si man.

M.-B.:  She won't buy it, no man.

T-B.:  If she says no, honor that, si man.  We want a report on what you learn on Schoology today, see man.

M-B.:  OK, sigh man.

 , si man

This sounds familiar.  Kid2 is always attempting to negotiate games.  Drives me nuts. Get a job, man! lol

On way back, ordered an XL 'roni 'za for din-din, brainstorm we man.

Its heat plus added black pepper would make us sweat, reasoned we man.

Consumed half of it, ingest we man.

Ugh...sorry you got the flu.  Our household feels like we've been battling something since Kid1 and I got covid at the very end of July.  Kid1 then got strep, hubs got a stomach bug, he and Kid1 got the flu, then they shared with with Kid2 who shared it with me and then I ended up with a cold.  So over feeling like garbage, sniffling or coughing.

Hubs typically resorts to a hot curry when he's sick.  Same reasoning - sweat it out.

Hope you're on the med!

Fantastic Fantasy Fest Pre-post.

Cut out of work a day early and headed down to the Keys.  It's Fantasy Fest weekend in Key West and that means a LOT of exposed boobies.  All shapes and sizes and amount of sag.  Well, they do need a little paint to be legal.  Guess I can't really post the pictures here.  Oh, and there will be some unique costumes too.

This is the first time I have been down to the house since a little before the hurricane.  Only damage I really found was one light fixture broken lose and hanging by the wires.  Looks like the storm surge was not much.  Water came just up to the house but not under it.  Neighbor said winds were about 90 mph sustained.  Not bad.

Not sure what I was thinking.  I left my cell number on my office answering machine in case anyone really needed to get in touch with me.  Of course I have already had some calls.  Toothache, lost crown, new patient that wants to be seen asap...  Of course I did call all of them even if to just give them a little support.  It's going to be busy Monday.

Thrilling Thursday report, see man:

Awoke with no fever but some cold symptoms, yuck man.

These improved during the day, little crumbs of happiness man.

Went to Costco, adventurous we man.

It wasn't at all as crowded as usual, boon man.

We spent $Many for Many (2+2+2) items, reasonable for that place man.

Got 2 din-dins + restocked angusburgers for Mini-B. next week, good papa we man.

Lunch was the Costco footlong beef hot dog + Pepsi for $1 + half a buck, ingest we man.

Funny story at Costco, see man:

In Iowa in August, we bought ourself a Menards* t-shirt, $1 at thrift shop** man.

     *Midwestern lumberyard-type chain, si man

    **financially savvy we man

Costco checkout clerk commented enthusiastically about our shirt, comment he man.

He was from Council Bluffs, Iowa, si man.

On our way out, a Costco clerk was hawking some service, hawk he man.

He commented enthusiastically about our shirt, comment he man.

He was from Indiana, si man.

Pretty rare to be sartorially admired for a Menards shirt twice in Texas, let alone in one store man.

Din-din was 2 "everything" bagels from Costco, presumably baked right there man.

Just brushed miu, demanding miu man.

Severe weather predicted for Friday, midday hours man.

We dearly want to go ES-ing out of town, plus other errands there man.

We aren't sure whether to risk this, unsure we man.

We might go for it regardless, live dangerously man.

Thrilling Thursday repartee, yawn man.

-----

Thrilling Friday-including-ES-report, see man:

First quasi-normal day since last week, better we man.

Rant, grrr man:

We were almost out of the garage when ex-Mrs.-T-B. called, call we ex-she man.

She needed Mini-B.'s jacket urgently, claim ex-she man.

She had asked for it on Wednesday, ask ex-she man.

She asked that we leave it inside our door for her pickup, comply we man.

After 2 days, ex-she man wants us to bring it out to ex-her man, :bonk: man.

Ex-she man comes screeching up in the ex-Mrs.-T-B.-mobile, screech ex-she man.

(Mini-B. was already going to be late to skool, big surprise man.)

She makes us get out of the running T-B.-mobile to retrieve it from the casa, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

We hope that she got a ticket for speeding in a skool zone, poetic justice if so man.

On Wednesday, one of Mini-B.'s teechurs put out a plea to all Many'th-grade parents, plea she man.

The Many'th-grade teechurs were out of snot-rags for their klassroomz, many sick kids man.

Teechur pleaded for each kid to bring a box of Kleenex, yeah right man.

We ordered 2 cases of Many (2x2x2x2x2 -2) boxes for delivery to the skool, order we man.

Teecher got them today and fell all over herself in gratitude, gratitudinous she man.

Road-trip saga, trip-roading we man:

No ESs in realistic reach, no man.

We found one in small town Many minutes away, highway drive man.

Saw nothing there, no man.

Visited auto/tyre shop that was closing down, aged owners man.

Almost bought some windshield-wipers, but didn't man.

Went to cool antique mall, neat stuff but didn't buy anything man.

Went to church thrift store and found Mini-B. a t-shirt for half-of-half a buck, find we man.

Total = $half-of-half a buck, 2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2 +1 cents man.

Lunch was at a recommended Mexican restaurant in small town, ingest we man.

Food was merely OK at very best, enh man.

They also overcharged us, realize we belatedly man.

We shall give them a below-average TripAdvisor review, conclude we man.

Returned to casa less than 1 minute before the forecast monsoon started, timing is everything man.

Napped through monsoon, nearly 2 hours man.

Din-din was Many (2+1) bowls of Costco popcorn during World's Serious game, ingest we man.

Only Many (2+1) GSs, and not that local, are itineraried for Saturday, itinerary we man.

Miu is alternately lobbying us to play with her and tossing around her own toys, perceive we man.

We shall accommodate miu shortly, good cat-daddy we man.

Fantasy Fest post-Captain Morgan Masquerade March update

Went to old town Key West last evening for the Captain Morgan Masquerade March and to hang with the crazy's on Duval street.  GREAT turnout.  Perfect weather at 82 degrees all evening, and once the sun goes down, the crazy's come out.  Duval street, which is closed for "pedestrian" traffic Friday and Saturday was so busy and packed with party people.  Saw lots of boobies of all shapes and sizes and some "totally naked but painted" women.  Duval street is considered the center of the "Fantasy Zone" and almost anything goes.  There is a police presence to keep the peace, but I noticed most of them were busy with their cell phones taking pictures.

We have another couple with us that we have been friends with for years.  They were taking lots of pictures as we walked down the street.  Came upon a lady in a Wonder Woman costume with her back to us.  Our friend, Tanyia, broke off to get a picture of her backside as she had this HUGE butt.  Then Wonder Woman turned around and.....OMG she had the LARGEST BOOBIES I have ever seen!  Freakish.  We all wondered how she slept?  Does she have big holes dug out in her mattress, or what.  At least we got some great pictures!

Wife and I started discussing what costume we will do next year.  We have never gotten dressed up in anything interesting for this event.  Unfortunately I can't fit into my wife's lingerie or even her dresses, so that's out.  We are not into showing off with nudity so it will have to be something a little tame.  I think it's best to wait until they announce next years theme before we decide.  This years theme was Cult Classics and Cartoon Chaos.

Tonight is another big event with more Duval street walkers followed by the big parade that starts at 7:00pm  Mostly the same people in the same costumes drinking heavily and having a wild time.  Think we will skip tonight.  Tomorrow wraps up with "The Fat Lady Sings" party, although there is some question if "she" is really a lady.  I don't need to know...

Thrilling Saturday and GS report, see man:

Got late start, zzz we man.

Had Many (2+1) GSs itineraried, none proximal man.

The first and Many'rd were nice, but no take, no man.

The second was shutting down nearly 2 hours early, should be a State Jail felony man.

Lunch was at a small Mexican place near the Many'rd GS, ingest we man.

Full plate of Many enchiladas/rice/beans + cheaps for under $Many ($2x2x2), heavenly man.

If we lived closer, we'd return regularly, financially savvy we man.

Already filed stellar TripAdvisor review on the place, reward they we man.

Groceried at non-Aldi store nearby, grocery we man.

Place actually had Mini-B.'s corn dogs in right package size at quasi-reasonable price, pleased we man.

Returned to casa and ministered to demanding miu, why is my food bowl less than half-full Daddy man.

Napped like an illegitimate male child for nearly 2 hours, zzz we man.

Din-din was onecan of sliced carrots*, ingest we man.

*bought at a previous ES, financially savvy we man

Preparing to watch evening TV news and then the World's Serious, prepare we man.
