URGENT /J-1 to AOS marriage to USC - My sponsor wants to terminate my J-1 visa

Hi all, it is the first time that I am posting here and I have a very stressful situation.

I am on a J1 trainee that is supposed to end on Feb 5th 2021. Last week I mentioned to my sponsor that I was married to a US Citizen because I was trying to figure out if I could come back to the US after visiting my family abroad (Having a valid visa + Marriage certificate). 

The the customer support from my sponsor told me that due to a violation of their policies they would be withdrawing their sponsorship of my J-1 visa effective immediately and I would no longer be authorized to work at my job, just because I am doing my AOS. However two days later they still have not notified my employer and I wanted to make sure I’m not working illegally. What is the normal process for withdrawing sponsorship? 

Is there anything I can do to stop them?

Violation of what policy? You would need to review the agreement.

 

You can file to adjust in country, sounds like you have not done that?

The fact that I am seeking permanent residence in the US when I am on a non-immigration visa is violating their T&C... I can't find anything in their T&C to be honest

Ask them which clause you are violating, have you filed to adjust?

Yes I filled back in July - Still waiting for my EAD, and I have my biometric tomorrow so hopefully it shouldn't be an issue for very long. It is just very abrupt and I c an't really be out of work for very long.

I agree with the above post, until your employer calls you into their office and questions you about it, don't rock the boat. And since you married a USC even if you ended up working illegally, it is forgiven with your marriage to USC. Worst case scenario is you may have to disclose it down the line with USCIS, but it won't matter anyway, and even then I wouldn't worry until you know for sure you were working illegally. Sounds like your EAD will be arriving soon.

I am just so surprised that my sponsor didn't contact my employer already... Is there a way to check my Visa status without talking to my sponsor? Like call SEVIS maybe?

You are not in the US? You are saying you are doing AOS but left the US?
