Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well!

Please I have a few questions I would like to get answers to before we begin the process of filing.

Regarding getting a sponsor, we got one. He is married with three children and in our case, I will be petitioning for my fiance and three children, our question is, will they be factoring in the numbers of people in his family versus the numbers of people on the petition? In other words, will he have to be making an income that covers 9 people?

Thank you for your responses.

Regarding the K2 visas, are they applied for along with the initial K1 or we can wait it out for a year after my fiance arrives?

Hello!

The sponsor has to show income to support his own family and whatever the number of people indicated in the petition.

Best of luck!

Also the 1-134 is only needed during his interview, correct?

Yes.

Most embassies would ask for the following but some do and some don't so it's best to be overly prepared so as not to slow down your process.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: You must submit any evidence which will show that you and members of your family who will accompany you are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Visa petitioner (US Citizen) will have to complete form I-134. If the petitioner does not qualify as a sponsor, a Joint-Sponsor should present (any US Citizen living in the US or Legal Permanent Resident), who will also have to complete form I-134. Both the Sponsor (Petitioner) as well as the Joint-Sponsor, will have to present last year's income tax return transcripts. W2 form and proof of current and sustainable income (e.g., letter of employment on letterhead including salary and start date, most recent salary receipts, bank accounts, the value of properties, etc.). You may download the I-134 affidavit at https://www.uscis.gov/i-134. Bank statements in place of a letter from the bank will work just fine. Print the statement that shows the opening balance for a month and the closing balance for that month. Do that for 12 months—no need to print off all pages of a bank statement.

Yes if you want to bring the children later you can, they must come within a year of K1 getting Visa.

And yes your joint sponsor must make at at least enough for a family of 9 which is $60,750(if you live in the 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii are higher income) and it increases every March so figure about $61,000 by the time you have interview.
