Model4Life started following Dilemma, My filing Status this year, K2 AOS interview appearance and and 4 others

Hello everyone, Please am a bit confused about my status this year. I filed K1 for my now spouse. His AOS is still pending and he didn't work here since he got here last April. My question now is, what status will my 2022 filing status be? I have always filed as Head of Household before getting married last year. Thanks.

Please anyone have an experience with aos interview for a beneficiary with a child? My spouse arrived with our child on k1 and k2. We filed for AOS in same packet but they eventually got separated when the credit card got declined. We fixed the payment issue, child's packet was treated first and we got both notices separately. Biometrics was scheduled separately but both went on child's date cos it was closest. Fast forward to today, we received interview notification for my husband and our child's case is still "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" My question is, do they schedule children under 10 years old for interviews or they automatically approve their cases when parents get approved? We are contemplating if we should take her along for my spouse, her father's interview if they interview children too ? Thank you 😊

This happened to us too. We decided to mail new packet asap same week cos we weren't sure if they were gonna mail it back. But guess what.... we received the packet back with a paper from them in top of the packet. So depending on the time you have you can wait to receive it and remail same packet with the paper or just mail another with money order or check.

Please I need clarification about the household size after reading your statement of "and persons not sponsored in this Affidavit " So I wasn't supposed to add my child from a previous marriage on the Affidavit as member of the household? Just my spouse and step child are supposed to be on it making the household 3? I am asking cos we got an rfe for the Affidavit of support. Thanks

Hello everyone, Please I have a quick question. I just found out about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), after our internet provider jacked our service up by $15 extra monthly. I qualify for it based on the breakfast and lunch programs provided at schools. My husband is worried that it might affect our adjustment of status cases. I said it doesn't have anything to do with it but he isn't sure. So I decided to post to find out for real. Thanks. Have a splendid Sunday!

Hello everyone We got a rfe because I mistakenly put tax transcript of 2020 instead of 2021. We found out after paying consultation fee to a lawyer because the letter wasn't specific but stated the sponsor didn't make qualified income. Which I did. So we got the online accounts we created via myaccount.uscis.gov and uploaded my 2021 tax transcript. I am wondering if that is the way to go about it or they want us to use postal mail. Also wondering if I have to refill a new 1-864 and upload with the transcript or the transcript uploaded alone is sufficient? Both K1 and K2 applicants have gone for biometrics and "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS" is the latest update. Please check status, anyone experienced the order of status? Sending a request for evidence same day along with biometrics appointment

Good morning 🌄, Please I need response to this urgent question. Our first packets of the 3 forms had birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport, 1-97 etc along with each form. Now am wondering since we are mailing all 3 forms together, do we still have to put same evidence thrice or just one set of the evidences is sufficient in the envelope to handle all forms. Thanks

Thank you so much. I checked but it it recommending medicaid for my dependents. One of the dependents migrated with my spouse. So she is in adjustment of status process. Would that be an issue? She wasn't even issued a ssn cos of her k2 status. -

Thank you. You mean the Affordable Care Plan(ObamaCare)? Is that allowed for adjustment of status? I am glad to know they are not putting that in consideration any longer because I am holding on to my full time job when I can go part-time and still make same monthly income working 4 days a week instead of 5-6 days but lose my benefits. Thank you -

I have a quick question, during AOS interview, do they ask or require us to have health insurance and show proof? -

Good afternoon everyone, I made an expensive mistake of mailing our packets prior to ensuring that funds are available in my credit card. I made the payment the night we mailed the packets but the money wasn't posted in 24 hours. On the other hand, USCIS received the packets within 2 days of mailing and charged my credit card the next day which was Saturday but my bank sent me a decline notice. I didn't expect them to get to the packets so soon within a day of receiving them. I have been worried and displeased with myself not making the payments couple of days sooner. I am here wondering if they always send such packets back to senders or we should just go ahead and mail another. Thanks.

We have 6 children between us. Only 2 are currently with us. My other 2 live with my ex here in the states and his other 2 are in his native country(not migrating anytime soon). I haven't claimed the two children on taxes for the past 7 years. On the Affidavit of support asking for household size, because we are just 4 living together currently, we put 4. Are we correct because household to me means dwellers of a home. Thank you everyone.
