He graduated from college, actually, his Master’s program, so in that sense there is a potential in this.

I will work right after I have my green card/work permit, so won’t have to rely on him completely.

i am not sure about the health care thing, but it might be possible. I’m planning to go to a med school after receiving a green card and work at the meantime.

anyway, thanks a lot. I just needed somebody to tell me that it’s not an issue :)

MS degree is great

and sounds like you have solid plans

you're gonna be in good shape

he should look into what he needs to do to provide the health care insurance and let you know

best to you both

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hey guys! Another probably stupid question from me, lol

So, as I told you guys before, my fiancé had a job and his annual income was about 23k a year, we had the employer letter and stuff. But the thing is, the place he has been working at is closed for a month or so, just to give some sort of a vacation to all of their employees, I guess.

He’s just got a job offer with a much higher salary and benefits. But, his first day at the new job  is going to be on the 25th of Jan. I’m not sure when I’ll get the interview at the embassy date, but it might be a bit earlier than that, so we might won’t be able to provide pay stubs and the employer letter by that time.

My question is, is it going to be okay from the CO’s perspective, since he’s not working for a month for the previous employer due to this monthly break (he’s not planning to return back, that employer doesn’t know about that), but he’s got a good job offer?

If he is not working at the time of your interview, then his income is zero.  A job offer does not count.

Some updates for you guys:

My interview was on the 10th of Feb. my fiancé managed to find a better job a month before it, so we did pass the income requirements.

The visa is approved, I’m currently waiting for my passport to be delivered (the CO told me that this time the results of the med ex will take longer for some reason, that’s why I’ll have to wait longer than a week to receive the passport).

Anyways, I wanted to thank all of you for your support and advise!
