Impeachment without conviction is as useful as claiming one won the national popular vote (while losing the electoral college). Clearly the vacuous nature of both appeals to a certain demographic that needs to learn to lose with dignity.

Interesting you use the phrase "your President".  As much as I did not agree with President Obama's policies and tactics (worse than Nixon as it has come to light), I never referred to him as "your President" when talking about him to an ardent supporter of his, and I doubt you can find anyone here that has not criticized President Trump at some point.  I know the Left and Democrats claim to be tolerant and inclusive, their actions seem to indicate otherwise.

I just look back to Horowitz and his first report, it was obvious then that his function wasn't oversight and accountability but protecting establishment buddies. If he and others did their job properly there'd never have needed to be follow up reports with him being ever so slightly more conciliatory toward doing his job. By his first report they already knew of the Strzok/Page affair and their guiding bias resulting in miscarriages of justice in 3 cases at minimum (Hillary, Trump, Carter Page), the fact that these biased and politically motivated people transitioned to Mueller's team, litany of FISA problems, unmaskings and other political abuses of power rampant in the bureaus and administrative state (executive), the list goes on.. 

 

It's why they call it an establishment. It's an intricate web of connections designed to give the impression of accountability without the accountability. Most of the actors doing the worst things tended to be those who worked behind the scenes while others were the abracadabra taking the brunt of attention, because the populace in now it conducts itself politically is nothing if predictable.
