Hi, quick question! I’m currently holding a permanent residency in Canada and my card expires in 2years. I’m in the process of adjustment of status here in US. I’m wondering if I need to cancel my Canadian permanent residency to get the green card or just wait for the Canadian PR expires? I’m just not sure if having a permanent residency in a different country will affect getting the green card here in US or it doesn’t really matter.

Thank you!

Apples and oranges...Basically,  one doesn't affect the other

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
