I watched a House subcommittee convenes an oversight hearing for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

Mr. Joseph Edlow, Deputy Director of Policy, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, said that we are NOW done with all the ceremonies backlog.

Well, if all the ceremonies were already processed, what is USCIS processing right now?

are there any N-400 interviews rescheduled notices coming out ??

Original N-400 interviews appointment date; April 17

Appointment canceled by USCIS because of COVID date; April 1

Filed office; SanDiego, CA

NO UPDATES SINCE THEN

I called them twice, the only answers I got is we will send N-400 interviews rescheduled noticed after 90 days from the reopening date which was June 4

The two processes (interview and oath) are related to another (as a sequence), but are not the same when it comes to statements like the above.

Public pressure on oath ceremonies existed since every applicant that already successfully passed the interview, was approved for Citizenship but not able to enjoy rights and responsibilities as a Citizen until the oath ceremony was conducted.

The situation is different for interviews, since the approval is not guaranteed and prior to passing the interview and being approved, you technically have no claim to be naturalized.

Having that said - many field offices have resumed Citizenship interviews (and also AOS interviews, as I saw earlier here on VJ). There is plenty of backlog, so be assured the offices are processing a lot :)

The ability to start scheduling interviews depends on local situation, as well as building abilities to ensure social distancing etc. California isn't doing too well in regards to covid, s they might not be able to resume as quickly as others.

You will likely be amongst the first folks that will receive a new interview date, since you were scheduled previously. Based on your interview date, there's a month worth of interviews ahead of you (since cancellations started a month before your date). Assuming less interviews per day due to social distancing, the month might stretch into a longer wait.

Oh man . My original N-400 interview was April 15 , the appointment de-scehduled April 1  San Jose field office. My estimated completion time is August 2020 , now nothing in my USCIS account shows any estimate time, very disappointing when a person keep checking daily the USCIS for any update.
