What makes you say 10 months?

Its what my crystal ball is reporting

Prior backlog + new covid backlog  + future delays until resumption of visa services

YMMV

I think you’re talking about form I-944 (Declaration of self sufficiency) which is filed with the AOS package after your fiancé gets to the US and you guys get married.

Note that I-944 is not currently required for filing AOShttps://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/public-charge/injunction-of-the-inadmissibility-on-public-charge-grounds-final-rule But in the future, check the requirements at that time, since it's likely to change from current situation.

Someone said the prior backlog at Montreal was not for k1 but was for CR1/IR1 and other IV visas.

There's a lot of us having a tough time right now and a small glimmer of hope would be nice. I'll contact the embassy and see what they say about the k1 backlog and I'll post back here so everyone can know for sure. 🙂
