LPR I131 re-entry permit timeline during COVID; need advice

Hi! I wanted to share the current timeline of my I131 application for LPR's re-entry permit and see if anyone has similar updates!

I submitted the forms on March 4 and UCSIC received the form and cashed my fingerprints fee check on March 10.

On April 30, my case status page shows that my fingerprints were taken. However, I NEVER received a biometrics appointment notice, nor did I actually go in to take the biometrics. This may be some mistake on their part. I sent inquiries about this confusing update twice in July and their reply was simply that our system shows that your fingerprints WERE taken.

Now I am still waiting for new updates. I originally planned to leave the U.S. in early June but I have now waited for two extra months. Just hope I might not be alone in this and good luck to every one out there waiting for the letter they want.

The processing times for I131 at all offices Have roughly come to around March 4. So I think I might be notified very soon?

Thanks in advance if you have any advice as to what else I should do to help expedite my case, or anything similar to share!

The update about the fingerprints means they reused your biometrics from an older biometrics appointment. Because of covid, ASCs were closed and they were reusing biometrics.

Hi!

Any news on your I-131?

I am considering applying for AOS myself, but this issue is preventing me because even if normal wait time is 90 days it seems that these days it is much more.

it means you have almost waited for 5 months.

Hi!

No, I haven't heard anything new from them.

I don't know about how long AOS is taking right now. Maybe you can refer to the processing times on USCIS website.

And that's right, I'm almost five months into waiting for their decision.

Good luck to you!
