Let me add.........

Keep the letters going.....

Im concerned. Im a mid June filer..watching as mid JULY filers get approved. IF MY file JUST got to an adjudicators desk....HOW did July filers get there before me????? The way Officer Nancy told me about the process is this:

1. They pull a create off the shelf in time order and its assigned to an officer

2. Each Create has about 30 petitions in it to work

3. AT THAT time name checks are ordered...

THIS is where i have the issue.......This is no longer about WHOSE name checks come back first...MINE weren't even pulled yet...NOTHING has been touched on my file since June 19. SOOOOOOOOO HOW are others getting approved from JULY, SEPT, OCT????????????????? No excuse to use it for training, why not just grab the NEXT create??? This isn't making sense...dont get me wrong..im HAPPY for those approved...NOT happy with the system.

4. After name checks come back, the file is worked

EAch file DOES take about 15 minutes, up to 30 minutes she said. THAT means that ONE create is only 2 days worth of work. So, the idea of my file sitting on someones desk waiting for name checks, or under a HUGE pile of backlog doesn't add up to WHY others so much later are getting approved.....

Anyone else find this odd???? Does this make sense how Im seeing it??? Its a broken system to say the least.

I broke down and called the Vermont Service Center today. Spoke to the nice Information Officer (Nancy). She actually remembered me from talking before!! Anyways...the "create" with my petition is now on an officers desk for adjudication. Thank God. She said the name checks take a few days and that each create has 30 petitions in it. So If I estimate right about 2 days worth of work. So we SHOULD be hearing sometime this week if all is smooth about our petition. Im just glad there wasn't a problem with it. She also stated no one there got hershey's kisses of the officers. I did ask... I joked and said that if Mr Novaks waist looks a bit bigger...she knows where all those chocolates went to. Im sure someone there got them. Just not the information officers or adjudication officers. Anyhow...she said they have been slammed with work...I thanked her for being so polite and helpful. Just wanted to share.

Thats great news!!! I will breakdown and call tomorrow. Maybe I will get good news too.

Hey Faith! That's great!!!! We know your approval is coming!!!

Well, I'm also gonna call tomorrow about my RFE....it's been too long and I still haven't got any notifications....and I don't know what to do....

Officer Nancy is the nice one. She is so sweet. When I call Im just honest. I tell them that I just need their help..but I dont call often..Maybe once a month. Good luck to those that call...I just try to be patient and understanding that they are busy, compliment them on the recent work...acknowledge that they are under the gun as workers...then ask questions....just sound lost, confused and helpless...LOL. Seemed to work for me.

"Im worried, can you help me???" :innocent: :innocent:

How do you get through to an actual officer? I am getting tired of the customer disservice line. I keep getting less than helpful, rude individuals who tell me the exact opposite of the last person.

Mirla good luck...ours hasn't been updated either.

I simply follow the prompts. Skip the intro. Then 2, 4 and follow the prompts for RFE to get to live person. It will transfer you to Vermont Service Center directly. You may just be getting the regular customer service reps. NOT Vermont service center.

You're lucky then. CSC doesn't offer this. All we get are customer service people that won't tell you anything. I just spoke to our attorney and the certified letter for the evidence they were asking for hasn't even been signed for and it was sent on the 14th. So tired of this bs.

QUOTE(AnewKINDofFEELIN @ Nov 26 2007, 03:48 PM) post_snapback.gifIt's a shame that lawyers are given rights and access that we are not,

Has anyone ever heard of this? If I am reading it right it means that lawyers can call and get a supervisor or at least someone who knows what they are doing on the phone just about any time they want.

If you follow the prompts for the RFE trick you will get to CSC or VSC. You will only get to speak to customer service at VSC or CSC. I don't think you talk to actual officers. I thought they were just customer service at CSC or VSC rather than just USCIS.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Oh yeah, the woman I talked to today was like "you know, you called last week." So what? I wouldn't have to call at all if there was some transparency or they would tell you the truth the first time around. I am paying for a service. I can see if one was to call every day, but that isn't the case. I never called once until people around the same time I filed began to get approved.

Anyone else find this odd???? Does this make sense how Im seeing it??? Its a broken system to say the least.

Look at it this way, in each box there are 30 petitions. Lets say, for arguments sake the the first 5 petitons in that box (which are at the bottom) are the last of the May petitions in the mailroom, that means that the other 25 are June petitions. So the officer snags a box and puts it on his desk. The first 25 petitions he works on are from june, then gets to the may petitions. Now, since that guy got the last of the May petititons, all the other adjudicators are pulling june petitions. Maybe the guy who got the last of the Mays is slow, or there are a lot of problems with the petitions, or whatever, then you are seeing Junes adjudicated before Mays. Now add in the additional variables of adjudicators who work from home, and they pull that box and doesnt come back for a week, then everyone in that box is a week behind. Or and adjudicator goes on vacation and leaves the box on his desk because he already ordered the name checks. Multiply this by however many adjudicators there are and it becomes overwhelming. And dont forget the shear numbers game that we have. Using VJ numbers only, there is only about 1 box of may, 2 boxes of june, 4 boxes of july, 1 box august and 1 box sept. Multiply those numbers by whatever to account for nationwide, and you can see how a fast adjudicator could already be working some boxes of june and july while a slow guy is still working on may.

With no understanding of the actual nuts n bolts of the process due to no transparency, there are so many variables that you cant account for them all.

I know everyone will shoot holes in this theory, and I am not condoning these actions or saying that it doesnt suck, because it does. I also know that I could be perfectly correct or perfectly incorrect. No one knows for sure except the people in the cube farm at VSC.

I hate to say this, but so far, the very long wait people have been seeing RFEs in their mailboxes. They have been finding this out thru calling people. The CRIS system is a joke and has not worked reliably in quite some time. Could be that there is something comming back in the name checks or something else. I am sure that you are going to hear something soon, but you yourself have stated that your petition is not slam dunk simple. Your fiance is from a high fraud post, you have previous marriages, one to a J visa holder, so your case is more complex than a lot of cases out there, and as such may take longer than usual. Fair? Hell no, and I feel for you, but, (F) I am sure that you will hear something soon. (F)
