Sparrow, VSC posted processing time is 57 days, how are you not past processing time?

The VSC posted processing times (on the USCIS site, not VJ) is December 14. They are not accurate at all but these gov't offices swear by them. :( No help at all, really. It's so frustrating to think I might have to wait up to 6 months (or more!!) for anyone to really help.

Divorced. To hell with him.

Please can someone help me out here...

I have called the +1 800 375 5283 number soo many times but dont know what option you use to get to a human... I have gone through all of the menus and that is getting frustrating...

My papers are also with VSC is there another number I can call to get to them???

I really think it depends on the time of day you call. When you call and it says "If you are wondering about a request for more evidence" etc, just go straight for that one and follow the prompts whether you have an RFE or not. It will say "You need to send what we requested" or something, and then if someone is at VSC, the phone will start ringing. If not, then it will say "no one is at the service center you're trying to contact" and you'll be transferred to a generic USCIS call center, which is not helpful. Unfortunately I press so many numbers I don't know the exact route, but I think it's 2, 1, and 3. Not 100% on it though. Look up the "RFE trick" in the forums and you'll find tons of info.

Yes, it looks like we will need to be more patient at VSC. According to the following release: http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/Re...Times062207.pdf, VSC will not be in full reporting compliance until 7/13/2007.

How that affects us is as follows. The center director can at his discretion choose the allocation of adjudicators to a particular task. And since they have up to 6 months to process I-129Fs (as per USCIS cover their rear timelines) the director is choosing to stop processing new I-129Fs temporarily so that they can catch up with things they are clearly behind on.

My guess is that until VSC is in full reporting compliance, we will not see many I-129Fs approved. The ones that are already on adjudicators desks, and the ones waiting on RFEs shouldn't be affected, but I don't think new stacks of I-129Fs will be pulled from the files until after they are caught up.

For the K-3 list, I'm not sure how far back we want to start it. I do see lots of approvals due for March K-3s, so I started it at March. Also, I'm not sure if K-3s are adjudicated in the same "queue" as K-1s, so I listed them seperately. If anyone has any information on that, let me know, and I will combine the lists if appropriate.

Hi Nora and Ryan,

Seems like you got this somewhat figured out at the VSC. My timeline started in April 11th got an RFE thought I was in for a long wait. Sent RFE Back and got a NO2 about two weeks later. So an RFE means that someone looked at your case, and is waiting for more info. When that info comes back it seems like it goes back to the person that sent you the RFE then if the info you sent back is perfect they approve the petition. I still don't wish an RFE on anyone, but at least you know someone has physically looked at your whole petition. Suggestion: Keep your fiance or fiancee sprits up they are more in the dark about this whole process than you are. VJ timeline is pretty acurate. Everyone please update timeline. Now I am just praying that no hang ups at the NVC. Good luck to everyone waiting is very hard.
