Zolanden, I didn't see any activity yesterday. I just came to work and opened my mail and there was an email from Cris about approval. About half hour later I got one saying my I130 is also approved. The email said they both are approved on Aug 23. I think it has something to do with their system updating over night. Because once I called them on August 8th because I was worried. And that touched showed up as August 9th.

My NOA1 is April 6. Not April 9. I rechecked now to make sure. Zolanden, Don't get scared. we both are in the same date, you should see your approval today or Monday. I am positive.

They are cranking them out. Keep up your hopes. if you don't get an approval by Monday. I will also contact your congressman for you. Just stay positive you will get your approval.

Zolanden,

I am so certain that your paperwork isn't lost that I'll offer to send you $1,000 if it is  They're just government workers taking their jolly old time. Your day is coming. You'll react like ApprovalPlease did when you get your approval...sheer excitement and joy!!!! The exact same thoughts were running through my head that you're having right now...did they lose my paperwork? Especially when people with NOA1's a week or two after mine starting getting their NOA2's before me. Then Wednesday morning I opened up my email and started jumping up and down at work when I saw the approval email  Anyway, don't worry...it's on the way. And once you get it, you'll feel sooooooooo relaxed. I've seen a lot of people paranoid about NVC not getting the paperwork after the NOA2, but the paperwork won't get lost. Once you get your NOA2, you should just breathe a big sigh of relief and start preparing for your interview because it will be here before you know it! The NOA2 is by far the most annoying part of the wait.

T.G.I.F.  for the few long timers that are left on this thread. It must have been a big week for vacations at the CSC, since there wasn't much action from them this week !

I myself will be away from this website for a while beginning tomorrow. I'll be visiting my wife for 2 1/2 weeks   ! No telephone lines or internet in her part of the Province ( which is probably a good thing ). Yes I feel very lucky that I can spend time with her,and when I planned the trip in May I thought then we would have approvals and be way past where we are now. Now I need to apologize for my government to her and explain to her why we haven't even made it past the first step yet.

I'll be praying for everybody daily for their approvals, especially you Zolanden. I wish I could reach out of this computer and give you a big hug, and tell you everything will be all right ( and it will ). I'll try to make it to a computer once in a while while I'm there to check on everybody's progress.

I want to see this thread officially "CLOSED" when I get back.

Jim

Have a great trip, Jim, and I hope to see you approved while you are away!

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

Thank you so much guys, thank you for being there with me during up and down (mostly down :)). Zolanden, MyHOney, Parachute, Gogo, Neel...all of you guys...and everbody else I missed. I was losing faith until today morning, but all of a sudden I got my approval. Before, All sorts of thoughts were going through my head..like what If I never get my approval etc etc etc...

And I remember telling my wife couple of days ago, about the worst case scenario of us not getting approved at all told her, What we are doing now, is giving our government to follow their process to assure safety of people coming to this country. If one person's life is saved because of this govt background check, this wait is worth it. But at the same time we are not going to let the same government dictate our lives, if they don't approve by end of September, I will move to India, and settle down there with her, I am a hard worker I can do any job and be anywhere as long as we are together.

Point is once we analyzed the worst case scenario and got our selves prepared for it, we felt more confident and not as worried. It's easy to share this with you guys now.

All I can want to say is, continue to have faith guys, you will get your approvals. Take this wait for what it is, a true test of your love for each other, pass it with flying colors and you will be assured of a great life, ahead, together.

Good luck :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Zolanden, your approval is very near so hang in there! We are all pulling for you! For your peace of mind though I would recommend calling CSC through the "RFE trick" and ask them about your case. This will let you know that it is not lost and you may even find out whether or not your forms are already with an officer. Just be aware that if you do this, you will probably see some touches on your case for a couple days. But honestly, your approvals are coming so be strong!

Gogo, I think USCIS is going to continue approving at this rate, and I am sure you will have your approval by October, the reason is even thougy your NOA1 is in June, there was a huge gap for NOA1 from late April till June, when nobody recieved NOA1, so with that logic even though your NOA1 is in june you are number in line is more like May.. Don't worry. Good luck
