did any march filers receive their approval for either of their petitions this week??????

Finally I got my I-129F approved too. I got an email saying approval letter was sent on July 3, but they didn't email me until satureday!!! Before reading this email I thought My I-130 was forwarded to National visa center as since Friday night the ASR saying the EAC# is entered in to the system and a case number DHK200768**** was assigned. Now that I know that my I-129F was also approved on the same day I am confused whether they will send only I-129F helding the I-130 or not. I really don't care, all I want is: "Her to be here, as soon as possible". If I-129F is forwarded then it should go to Bangladesh today.... I called the NVC this morning but it is so crowded and telling me call back after 6pm eastern time...Consolemaster... if you are still reading this post while travelling....What's going on with your K3 process... what else you had to do after you got approved??? is there any shortcut like James' shortcut for K3???

Sumon, First Congratulations, very happy for you. I think you should get your case number from VSC, after that get your Packet 3 forms like affidivit of support, birth certificates etc ready. And try to track your package to embassy, and once they recieve it in embassy call them and confirm they got it.

Oh yea, Please update your timeling :). Good luck with the rest of the process.

Congrats :thumbs::dance:

Well, your I130 is already at NVC, so obviously USCIS isn't holding it. You should start to see further activity on that soon. Also, your I129F will be forwarded to NVC within the usual time frames. Your I129F will probably make it to Dhaka before your I130 is finished NVC processing. At that point you can notify (or you could do it sooner) that you want to proceed with your K3, and that your I130 should be sent back to the USCIS service center to be held for the eventual AOS. This way, it might cost a bit more in terms of the AOS fee, but hey you and your SO will be together sooner.

I just got e-mail notification from CSC that my I129F for K3 is approved - woooohoooooo!!! My NOA1 was dated 3/19/07. I had originally gotten both an e-mail and hard copy NOA2 dated 4/11/07....then nothing. Nothing was sent to NVC. When I contacted "customer service" (supposedly level 2 where I spoke to a immigration officer) they claimed the approval was valid and it just takes time to arrive at NVC. Another call to "cutomer service" advised me to visit my local USCIS office. I did and was told by another immigration officer to write a letter to CSC. I did, and the letter was returned a week later indicating that CSC does not accept general correspondence or written inquiries. At that point I decided to:

1) escalate to my congressman 6/14

2) file a "request to expedite" citing USCIS error 6/18

This activity prompted a lot of touches as you can see from my timeline (sorry, don't know how to make it appear in my signature). Then today I received a reply from my congressman with a copy of an e-mail resonse from CSC indicating that the approval notice dated 4/11/07 was due to a "computer glitch" and not an actual adjudication. The e-mail went on to state an apology for the error and that they were working on resolving my case. Then the website registered a touch and about an hour ago - voila, an approval e-mail. Phew - what a process!! Funny, today my wife and I discussed the potential necessity of planning another rendezvous trip - probably to Turkey - if things continued to drag on. I know we aren't out of the woods yet but it looks like that shouldn't be necessary.

For those of you March filers still waiting on approvals, hang in there. There seems to be a considerable amount of computer issues along our path. But things do get sorted out - er I think.

As of today, still nothing. There must be something going on at CSC that is delaying all of us March filers with no NOA2's. If anyone gets any info, please post. All of our inquiring minds are desperate to know. Good luck to you all!

We send our I130 at the end of Feb07 to NSC, and then it got transfer to CSC on March 1st. The USCIS's website says it arrived on March 1st, but when our congressman person called to CSC, they said that the actual date that they put our application into the system was May 2nd... Because CSC had received too many applications, and they overloaded.

Our applications sit there for two months for no reason.. :crying:

It seems like that's what it is happening at CSC.

Hey SumonLopa,

Are you a legal resident or a US citizen? I am just curious to see if it matters wether a member is a legal resident or a US citizen for the time processing for a relative. Thank you. Im getting frustrated with the California Service Center in the way they are handling business. They are not customer oriented at all. I wish I knew the head honcho of this program so I can complain about the service and the run around I have received from their customer service line. Its always the same excuse. I would at least appreciate an honest answer. Any how, congratulations. I could not imagine the long wait you had to go through with your family. I wish yall luck

I am a US Citizen since 2004. And for your information only US Citizen can file I-129F. K3 is not allowed for Parmanent Residents. And yes I think I made a record on waiting for an approval on I-130 for spouse (298 days!!!! just to be approved, where my sister had to wait only 24 days for her husband's approval). I called NVC, I have started trying since morning but it kicked me back to automated system....after the 12th time I got connected to the operator (11PM!!! can you imagine it?) after 20 mins of waiting. She told me it still in NVC and has not been sent to the consulate yet. After waiting these many days... I am so frustrated that I think I need to prepare for extra waiting for every where.....I am not expecting any thing soon....finally stopped comparing my self with other fortunate people who gets everything on time!!!

Please fill in a timeline
