claiming Cash to IRS to match the income required

I'm trying to bring my wife over to the u.s but the problem is i didn't work last year  , but i heard that i can claim to IRS as much as i need in cash to match the required income in order to support my wife,   please help me with this if you guys can heard or know anything about this

For IRS purposes, you must claim all income - cash or otherwise - earned in the tax year.

This is separate from anything with immigration.

 

The wording implies that you either

a) didn't claim income on your taxes previously, or (more likely)

b) plan to claim income you didn't have.

 

If the issue is a, fix it.

If the issue is b, DO NOT even try to do something so reckless. Not only will it mean a considerable tax bill and raise issues of misrepresentation, but it likely will raise all sorts of questions about how the money was earned for which there is no truthful answer.

 

For I-864 purposes, your current income is king. That's what you earn now, not what you earned last year.

You didn't work but want to make tax return to IRS for the visa/????  How do you have enough cash to satisify the income requirements?

do you work off the books / we call it working under the table  so you would be considered self employed 

u have to claim all monies earned in the US and pay federal and state taxes plus pay into medicare and social security

you also have to show you have health insurance and the money to buy her health care

not sure how you would ever be approved without a job (this year with the virus will be different  but we are talking about last year at this point)

you need a job,  you need to file tax returns

you may also need a joint sponsor

No one will advise you to claim false information to any government entity.

 

If you earned money and got paid cash you do need to claim that money as income to the IRS. Any cash income you claim you will pay taxes on that money. Casa doesn't like to see that deductions lower your tax responsibility. 

 

If you're claiming earnings without earning it for immigration purposes, then that's lying to two Federal agencies.

Do you currently work?  You can apply for your wife, but you may need a joint sponsor.

This is not "playing cute".  It's fraud.  Add the affidavit support and it's immigration fraud in addition to tax fraud.

 

Of course, claiming ACTUAL cash income is not fraud.
