When the beneficiary goes to the Embassy interview and bring all the supporting documentation of the ongoing relationship, (in our case, I have traveled 8 times for a total of over 150 days to visit,) are these documents returned or kept by the embassy?  Thanks

Depends on the consular officer.  If reviewed,  they may decide to keep some, but the majority is returned

YMMV

Congratulations of the interview being scheduled! Finally 🤗 Normally they will return the documents. If I remembered correctly, they only took Affidavit of support with W2 (last 2-3 years). If your fiance lived outside of Indonesia for more than 1 year, Police Clearance also required (they kept mine). Goodluck!! As for photos etc trips they will only look at it and return it.
