Today I got my first status update after the interview and it says that I was placed in line for the oath ceremony. Hopefully the wait won’t be too long!

I wish I knew! I saw someone on Reddit who had his interview over 3 weeks ago and still hasn’t been scheduled for the oath

Yeah, I've heard there's a backlog in Chicago for oaths. Hopefully people here on VJ will update us so we get an idea of how fast it's moving.

I had my interview yesterday in Lawrence, MA. I passed! Super easy and very nice officer. Same day Oath is offered here, so that was a great plus! I hope it moves quickly for everybody else 😊

Hello I applied for my N-400 based on Marriage to USC and my I-751 is also pending since past 22 months. Recently I got a very good job offer which is approx 2 and half hours drive from my place. I am planning to take that offer and commute to work like 3-4 days (week days) stay near work place and be home on Fridays and weekends. Does it count like I am away from my spouse ? I mean I heard that both couple needs to live together until N-400 oath is completed. Technically even though I will be away during week days I will be with my family during weekends, during week days it’s just a place to sleep and take shower (mostly a room in someone’s apartment)not sure if it cause any problem during my interview. There are not many good jobs out here where we are living and not wanted loose this new opportunity.

So i applied on April 30th, 2020 still waiting on the interview. (I filed electronically) 

Found out yesterday that my brothers wife applied last year in October 2020, and she’s already got an interview. (She filed by mail)

 

We all live in the same state.

In my opinion and from others post that I have read here, this should not be a problem as you are working. I think you should be fine, I will let other more experienced VJ family to chime in here.

I think it still depends on who is handling individual case. Each case officer is different, some are faster while others take their sweet time. 

 

In all, the journey will surely come to an end with USCIS, it takes patient to complete this process.

Anyone from Portland Oregon hear anything from ASC?  I filed N400 in April, only received NOA after that nothing.

I believe Portland doesn't have a separate ASC, everything is just done at the field office. Have you tried contacting the myuscis inbox or contacting your senators?

I did used inbox msg and emma chat with agents.  all answers were you are in queue for Biometrics.

Try contacting your senators (or representative), they should have a "help with a federal agency" tab on their websites. Many of us have had success seeing movement after that, including myself.

Just wrote to my rep last week - and surprisingly - got an immediate response, requesting the case files, and promising to contact the USCIS on my behalf !

 

Fingers crossed !
