The USCIS website shows a notice that my oath ceremony has been scheduled for October 9, that makes less than 3 weeks from interview and oath. The location is the same USCIS office in Cleveland where I had the interview on Sept 21.

No guests are allowed to attend due to COVID19 restrictions. I asked to bring all documents relesead by USCIS  (AED, old green cards, etc) and the Form N455 filled and signed (that comes in the mail with the location and date time of the ceremony)

A friend of mine who became citizen last week told me the whole thing takes about 30 minutes, just the time to be sworn in and take a picture.

Hi all,  I am an unfortunate March applicant.I became eligible March 19th, as fate would have it and applied on March 21st. I got NOA on March 22nd, 2020. Since then there's been absolutely zero movement on my case. I called them in early August and was told that they had just started scheduling biometrics appointments. In comparison, my friend who became eligible in mid Feb already was approved this August. Specifically, she had done bio by USCIS closure and immediately got rescheduled for her interview in early June.

The office has been open since June 4th. It was one of the offices that opened up early once reopening began. Therefore, it's now been 4 months with no movement. I also saw that a couple of people on here, including one case tied to my ASC, who had applied late Feb to early March got biometrics rescheduling appointments in late August and did bios last month. I should be a couple of weeks behind these people, except that I had never gotten a bio appointment since unfortunately I didn't become eligible till after closure.

I have been reading that people are contacting USCIS via their online account. I'd been regularly checking that account in the last 7 months--yep , 7 months of radio silence, so I have to at least try. how do I do this? I haven't logged in in the last month, I got so frustrated with seeing the same generic message. And oh yea, to boot, initially upon reopening my timeline showed expected completion by July 2020, then that switched to August, then September, then October, only to finally disappear. I hadn't put much stock in those dates and could see through the generic and pitifully badly written program code that's generating those dates. Perhaps their data scientists don't have advanced degrees, who knows.

I should also add that I am employment based, EB1, and am a university prof. This means that I didn't have ROC and whatnot, which in turn means I don't have valid bios in their system, unfortunately.

So,a long preamble to say-what should I do in terms of contacting them? I will contact them every single month at regular 4 week intervals, if I have to, because this has gone beyond the pale of ridiculousness and ineptitude at this point.

Looking at Kansas city processing time estimate I think you should have been done by now or at least have received an Interview notice. So I’m assuming they have your file suspended until they get your bio. But I wouldn’t be so upset because compared to other people in different cities a lot of people wait way more than that. so I recommend you relax and stay positive and hopefully things will start to resolve quickly! This Pandemic really affected them badly.

are you checking your case on both websites? Egov.uscis.gov & myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov? Are you sure your EB1 bio are not valid?
I received my ROC Bio reuse notice in the document tab on the myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

on the myaccount website you can go to Inbox and send them a  message from there requesting to schedule a bio appointment. You also have the option to call them. I would also look to see if there is a group here for Kansas N400 filers and read what others are experiencing.

Good Luck ! Keep us posted

@USAJune,, Thank you so much!

I have only been checking the myuscis site. When I talked to them in August they saw no movement either.

My EB bios were over 4 years ago. Bios need to have been done within the past 18 months.

I thought that I'd automatically get a bio appointment and that'd have been the case if not for covid.

I will check to see if there's a KCMO group.

thank you!

Did you check under the documents tab? Mine showed up without any notice? Who knows maybe they’re using old ones?  But if they will it must show up there on the myaccount.uscis website.

You’re supposed to automatically receive a Bio notice but there is a mess right now and they’re  having errors sometimes. I read about many people in the same

situation so they called or sent a message and they finally got an appointment.

USA June,

Thanks. i just sent a message. I checked both accounts as you suggested and nope, nada, same message as always. I also checked the documents tab and no updates since NOA nearly 7 months ago.

At least I tried. how responsive are they?

A friend of mine got a reply Within a week. I remember that some members here went through the same thing If you scroll back you might find it.

Good luck.

Got an email this morning that Testing and Interview scheduled. Don't know the date yet and hopefully by tonight the document tab would be loaded with the notice.

Congratulations! In my case it took until next day morning to update the letter. Your interview will probably be around Nov 5 .
I downloaded the USCIS official app to practice for the test I like it! I’ll also check some YouTube and other resources.

Good Luck!

We received emails last night that they have take action on me and my spouse's cases. We checked our USCIS accounts and it says they scheduled our biometrics appointments even though my filing date is July 2020. They scheduled ours together maybe because we are from same household. The letter is not on the Documents tap yet as it says it may take up a few days to show up. I am glad that things are moving.

Hi All. I received a letter in the mail saying that my biometrics for N400 will be re used and that i wont need a walk in bio-metric appointment. Filed N400 in March 2020 and ROC in March 2019. No updates on the ROC and just this latest update from N400. Hopefully i hear from USCIS soon now that they can start processing biometrics for N400.
