Ok so you do apply in St.Marys, then afterwards it has to be picked up in Kingston with the receipt? Is that what you’re saying??

They also issue and you can only go on those days listed.

DS-160 confirmation page I believe. This letter is given to everyone so not everything on it will apply to your case...

Thank you for posting this helpful information about the Jamaican process!

Q: Our packet has just arrived at the NVC TODAY!!  Can he just go to Mo'bay to get his police record even though we don't have a case # yet?  Is it ever too early?

Did you already submit the DS-160? You want the medical to be closer to the interview. You don't have your interview date yet then. And you need the confirmation from DS-160 to schedule the medical

They are good for a year so you should be fine to get it now.

Does anyone know if they are doing police records still or are they on hold because of the covid stuff??

Tax offices are open but CRO closed on March 16th. You might need to call to find out how to proceed or when they will reopen.

After you pay at Tax office.

The receipt and the following documents must then be taken to the Technical Services Division (Criminal Records Office), 34 Duke Street, Kingston.

Applications may also be made at the Summit Police Station (St. James) and Area 2 Police Headquarters, Pompano Bay (St. Mary) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays ONLY.  Next day service is NOT available at these locations.

1.      Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)

2.      Two passport-sized photographs (should not be certified or embossed)

3.      One of the following three pieces of VALID identification- i) Passport, ii) National Identification Card, iii) Drivers License

4.      If the police record is for overseas/travelling purposes, a VALID passport must be presented

A letter of authorization must be provided if the police record is to be collected by someone other than the applicant.  The bearer must have identification.

Hi!  With the recent announcement that the Embassy is preparing for doing K1 interviews again, I need to know how to get the criminal record done.

My fiance is in Montego Bay - so can you tell me if he will need to go to the Summit Police Station to collect that (after paying at the Tax office) and which days it's open (if there are only certain days)?

Does he need a passport to get his police record for the K1? Or is a national ID ok?
