Jamaica police record

Hello everyone quick question is the police record in Jamaica sealed? 

 

My fiance picked his record up and it was unsealed. My friend did k1 in 2016 and it was sealed for her then fiance at the time

One more question @Pinkrlion @Caramel Swirl the medical has to be 10 days before Is it 10 business days or just 10 days including weekends as well?

You need that appointment letter to set your medical date.   As soon as you have that letter then get your date.   Turnover depends on what’s going on for you medically.

At least 10 days. As soon as you get the interview letter schedule so you can get a date before you're interview. Don't wait.

Can you request the police report from any parish, and once it’s ready you have to go to Kingston to pick up? Any information would be greatly appreciated. My fiancé is in Ocho Rios.

My fiance did his at the station closest to him in St Elizabeth. If the one close by Ochi does it he doesn't have to go to Kingston.

The headquarters, Pompano Bay in St. Mary or Summit station in Mobay can issue.   Not sure if others can actually issue a record for immigration.   Time to do a phone project and call around to find out the nearest place for you.  Pointless to travel to Kingston if you don't have to.

After you pay at Tax office.

 

The receipt and the following documents must then be taken to the Technical Services Division (Criminal Records Office), 34 Duke Street, Kingston.

Applications may also be made at the Summit Police Station (St. James) and Area 2 Police Headquarters, Pompano Bay (St. Mary) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays ONLY.  Next day service is NOT available at these locations.

1.      Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)

2.      Two passport-sized photographs (should not be certified or embossed)

3.      One of the following three pieces of VALID identification- i) Passport, ii) National Identification Card, iii) Drivers License

4.      If the police record is for overseas/travelling purposes, a VALID passport must be presented

A letter of authorization must be provided if the police record is to be collected by someone other than the applicant.  The bearer must have identification.

Ok so you do apply in St.Marys, then afterwards it has to be picked up in Kingston with the receipt? Is that what you’re saying??

Looks like they can issue there, call and make sure before making the trip.
