Which country are you seeking asylum from?

August 12, 2022 PHL Dual Nationality Re-established & Passport Approved 

April 6,2023 Legally Separated - Oh well

Go ahead and file for an Advance Parole document. You can use it to return to the United States whilst your asylum application is pending. You must ensure you do NOT re-enter the country from which you are seeking asylum. 
 

I would also highly recommend sending in a request to expedite the process for I-131, due to the urgent medical matter. 
 

CBP has final say on your admittance. The I-131 advanced parole does not guarantee your admission to the United States, but it will allow a carrier to transport you to and inform the CBP about your circumstances of leaving.

I am not aware of any prohibition in returning to your home country.

Even that article says could, seems a quite common situation. Could also arises with using AP at all as you will be paroled in rather than being admitted.

Definitely a could. It’s all about the reason for why. OP needs to go to UAE so shouldn’t be an issue in regards to avoiding Egypt. Better to not risk a pending asylum case by going somewhere you don’t need to go.
