we cant tell this for sure until we have some proof. as far as online it just started last month so we do not have any data to predict anything yet.

also Online is faster for sure because you get your case number and service center within a day.

Faster to get in line yes, but once there it has to wait just like everyone else. It won't get through the line any faster. Only saves about a week, maybe 2-3 weeks if you're abroad. Online and paper is still processed the same way, because with paper petitions, they are just scanning them and putting them into the same IOE computer system as online petitions are in, and they have been putting paper petitions into this online IOE system since before filing online existed, and it certainly hasn't sped those up any more than pre-IOE petitions. Everybody has to wait in line behind everybody else, the only thing filing online saves is postage really. It won't get looked at faster just because it's online, they still have to get through everybody else first

Our CR1 Journey:

  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

This is your opinion and i respect that but we do not have any data to prove if online petition are treated the same way.

i filed online N400 form and got done in 3 months. the same petition took 9 months to get to interview last year.

I129f was only shown to help speed up I130 at Nebraska, but unfortunately it looks like that path has closed for everyone as it hasn't helped anyone in a while. K3 visas themselves are rarely issued as they are essentially obsolete and on their way out, only 3 were approved this year, 2 of which were in Mexico

It's not worth it ,because it takes them like 6-7 months to approve it in which case if you stuck it out you would be at your nvc stage by then

I think the cases are being assigned to the service center based on your residential justriduciton... I was also hoping for Potomac but looking at the statistics Texas is catching up.... :)

They are not assigned by residency. A quick Timeline Search shows people from the same states being assigned vastly different SCs, people from different sides of the country getting the same SC, etc.

Agreed...we can speculate based upon what makes logical sense, but there is no data to actually support it yet.

Application* (N-400 is not a petition)

Online filing vs paper filing has not shown a significant (months+) difference in processing time for the N-400. That form has been around online longer so there is data to back that claim.

How long your individual case took doesn't change averages or reasonable expectations.

Hello, just checked now and there is no receipt under the documents, however it says that the petition has been accepted and is under review.

I used the app and it says:

It is being processed at our E-Filed Case Processing Section location.

What does that mean?

You may want to wait until a day or so after that call the customer service since you already have the receipt number to confirm which service center has your case.

Any online filler experience the processing date change on your filling. Mine has already changed three times..🤔

Me and my husband filed on line on the 17th and got the receipt immediately with a receipt number however we had to wait until we got the physical copy through the mail (I797) to find out which SC we got and it went to Nebraska. Still doesn’t show up online as to it being sent there as I’ve read that it does on other people’s.
