I got married in Canada and moved to the US on B2.

Entering on a B2 (without the preconceived intention of getting married) and getting married is different then getting married in Canada and entering on a B2 visa and remaining in the US permanently.

You can not adjust from a B2 since you did not marry in the US.

Unusual for Canadians to need a B2.

my husband is from BC and came earlier this year to visit - circumstances changed back home for him after he arrived and we made the decision to get married about 2 months into his visit. We are in the AOS process now. He had biometrics 10/28 and EAD estimated to be march/april. no interview scheduled yet, we don't expect it for some time.

B2 is what my husbands I-94 listed his entry status as also when he originally came as a visitor from Canada. Not sure why it's unusual?

It is apparently a "defacto" B2. you get 6 months duration like a b2 visa, but we do not apply for it like someone overseas might. We are just granted it to visit the USA. I assume because so many people have relatives, friends, close proximity to the USA etc.

How was the interview process? I never visited with intentions of marriage it just felt right after spending so much time together

It was very easy. Mostly conversational. It was not super short like some of the people with k1 visas' are. It took about 30 minutes. But he asked very simple questions, was just thorough. I pretty much knew he would accept me from his demeanor and probably already knew he was going to before we even interviewed. We were approved on the spot. Received green card a few days later. He asked things like if we have met each other's families, where we got married, when, how we met, how many times I have visited, what we like to do together as a couple, where we will be in the future, etc.

No questions on intent were asked whatsoever,
