Subject: Letter to withdraw I-129F/K-1 visa
Sent: Saturday, November 2, 2019 10:46:58 AM (UTC+08:00) Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Urumqi

was deleted without being read on Monday, November 4, 2019 9:45:06 AM (UTC+08:00) Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Urumqi.

As per an email I received FROM the Consulate, I was told to scan/email the letter (its currently being held up in Chinar customs).

Set Outlook to request read confirmation... they never even read it, just right to the trash.

Sent ANOTHER letter this time I embedded a jpg image in the email.   This time I put my case number in the Subject line.

Lets see if the second one gets read.

Whats HILARIOUS is this is part of the automated response you get:

We will  respond to case-specific email inquiries only within 5 business days.

PLEASE ALLOW 5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR A RESPONSE; REPEATED EMAILS WILL ONLY PUSH BACK YOUR INQUIRY DATE AND FURTHER DELAY A RESPONSE TO YOUR CASE.

Well, of COURSE you have to send multiple emails, they never read the first you send them LOL

An update, I checked CEAC and the case last updated changed from 22-Aug to 1-Nov, the day after I received the email with the super-secret email address.

My email with the PDF attachment was sent 11/1 at 10:47PM EST so they must have looked up my info when I sent the initial email about the letter held in customs, but then (as we all know) deleted the second email (with the letter) and never updated my case status.

So much for following the 'rules'.

I think someone on here has mentioned if you want documents to be seen and added to your file,  you need to include the case number and names and DOB"s of both people

otherwise it is not recognized as yours and going to your file

My second email simply had my case number as the Subject.  The text of the email was a JPG scan of my notorized letter and one like of text:

Please see my attached withdrawal letter.  The letter had all the proper information.

Dear Petitioner,

Thank you for your email. We will close up your application and return your case file to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service through the National Visa Center based on your submission

But the crazy thing was, even though I had a personal response from the web mail form ( posted it) it never said that this would be the thing you need to do.  In the letter attachment I DID include all the info, PLUS a copy of the NOA1 and NOA2, so in three places that information was included.

So yes, in the future, you MUST PUT YOUR CASE NUMBER IN THE SUBJECT!!!!  Or as you have seen, they just delete it.

You think they would include this little tidbit of information somewhere.

Yes.

Once you have their email address you can simply send a scanned image of your withdrawal letter.  Mailing it in is a gamble with China customs.  EMS/DHL costs are close to $100 if you can find a local pickup.

The key is putting your case number in the subject line.  The web mail form has no way to attach anything to it.
