Hello,

We have gotten an approval on a K1.  When my fiance received her passport back she got a letter to not open the packet and that they immigration officer might want to see the xray.  However, she never received a copy of the xray from medical.  I assume it was in the medical packet that they take at the embassy.  Is the xray in the packet of documents that she is not supposed to open, or should I contact the medical facility?

The X-ray is usually given to the beneficiary as a CD at the end of the medical .. or by the CO at the interview. She should also have been given a copy of the vaccination  report completed at the medical. If she doesn’t have these then contact both the Medical provider and the consulate ...

I have never heard of any CBP agent asking to see the chest X-ray.  They are not health care professionals, so how would they even interpret the results?

I agree, when my now wife came thru on her K1 they only seemed concerned with the Visa in the passport, and the medical vaccinations, the other pages he didn't even look at.
